Методическая разработка урока в 6 классе по теме "Написание биографии знаменитого человека", УМК "Английский в фокусе".

Образовательная цель: научить учащихся составлять биографии знаменитых людей для письменного и устного монологического высказывания.

 

Развивающая цель: развитие навыков работать в группе.

Воспитательная цель: воспитывать любовь и уважение к истории и культуре своей страны, гордость за выдающихся людей, прославивших Россию, внесших значительный вклад в историю мировой цивилизации.

 Метод: коммуникативный.

Учебник: Spotlight. Unit 7 “ Now and then”. Lesson 7c:”Famous First”.

Тема урока “Написание биографии знаменитого человека”

Тип урока-урок комплексного применения знаний и умений.

Образовательная цель: научить учащихся составлять биографии знаменитых людей для письмен-

ного и устного монологического высказывания.

Развивающая цель: развитие навыков работать в группе.

Воспитательная цель: воспитывать любовь и уважение к истории и культуре своей страны, гордость за выдающихся людей, прославивших Россию, внесших значительный вклад в историю мировой цивилизации.

 Метод: коммуникативный.

Технологии: интерактивные, информационно-коммуникативные.

Средства обучения: интерактивная доска, презентация “Famous people”.

Задачи: - активизировать лексический материал по теме;

-повторить числительные и даты, Past Simple Tenses.

-практиковать учащихся в нахождении в тексте нужной информации;

-практиковать учащихся в аудировании, в построении монологических высказываний-биографий.

Ход урока:

1.  Организационный момент: приветствие, цель урока.

- Hello, dear children and our guests! I am glad to see you. Today we’re going to speak about famous people.

2. Постановка цели и задач урока. Мотивация учебной деятельности учащихся.

The aim of our lesson is to learn to write the biography of a famous or outstanding person. To do it better you should know how to write and read the dates.

  Фонетическая речевая зарядка: отработка числительных -годы, даты (на доске);

Now look at the screen and read the dates. (учащиеся читают предложенные даты на экране).

3.  Актуализация знаний. Контроль домашнего задания.

Let’s check your home work. Open your books at p.70, there is a biography of  Walt Disney and your task was to answer the questions about the text.

  1. What is W. Disney famous for?  (for his cartoons and cartoon characters such as Mickey Mouse, Snow White, the seven Dwarfs,  Dumbo and Bambi, Pincchio and others). What was he?
  2. What are the most important events of his early years? (was born on 5/1/1901, liked drawing, sold his sketches at 7, in 1923 left for Hollywood, together with brother started Disney Brothers Studio).
  3. What are the most important events of his later years? (created Mickey Mouse in1928, won the first of his 32 awards in 1932, made others of his famous films, made 81 films in total).
  4. What is the last part of the text about? (date of death, people’s feelings, his achievements).
  5. What should you know to write a biography? (necessary words-vocabulary for the topic, useful expressions and phrases, facts of biography, plan of writing).

And as we speak about past events you need to know the second form of the verbs. Let’s revise three forms of the verbs.

We read and discussed an article about a famous American film maker Walt Disney but there were a lot of talented, outstanding people in our country Russia. Look at the screen. Can you name these people?

Now tell me what they were famous for. What were they?

Yury Gagarin was (a cosmonaut)

A.Pushkin was (a poet, writer, dramatist).

M.Y. Lermontov was (a poet, writer)

P.I. Chikovskiy was (a composer)

D.I. Mendeleev was (a scientist)

Peter 1st was ( a Russian tsar).

M. Lomonosov was ( a scientist).

A.V.Suvorov was ( a military leader)

It’s time to have a rest. Stand up and let’s do some exercises.

5. Творческое применение и добывание знаний в новой ситуации (проблемные задания).

1.Чтение с выбором правильного варианта ответа. Работа в группах.

Today we are going to speak about one of the greatest poets of our country. And I'm sure you will tell me his name. This man is called "the Sun of Russian poetry". His poems are very popular, everybody in Russia knows his poems and you know many of his poems. Can you guess who I am speaking about?

Of course, I mean Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin

     Now you’ll work in groups. So let's see how well you know Pushkin's biography. Do the quiz about Pushkin. Look at your sheets of paper. Read the sentences and choose the correct answer.

2.Обсуждение плана и структуры биографии знаменитого человека.

Now it’s time to  discuss the plan of writing a biography. Let’s divide it into 4 paragraphs:

  1. Introduction.  2. Early years. 3. Later years. 4. Conclusion.

“Introduction” includes the name and reason why he/she is famous.

Here you can use such phrases as:

 He is an outstanding…/one of the greatest (poets/writers/scientists/artists/…)

He / She is well-known/ world famous… because (he was the founder of Russian science/literature…)/as a great poet, writer/architect/…

People all over the world know/ remember him / her because he/she made a great contribution into world/Russian literature/ art/ science…

The part “Early years” tells the reader about the date and the place of birth, his/her childhood, education, interests in early years. Here you can use such phrases as:

  • He / She was born in…(date, place of birth)
  • He loved to…/spent a lot of time …
  • He got a good education
  • He/she started writing/drawing ..when he was only…
  • He / She entered/studied in / attended / graduated from / …

The 3d paragraph “Later years” gives information about his/her life, work, achievements and date of death.

The useful phrases are:

  • He / She worked as…/worked hard
  • He wrote/created/made/won…
  • His first book was published in…
  • He fell in love with… and in a few years they got married. 
  • He died at the age of… in…

The 4th part “Conclusion” tells us about his/her contribution into music/ literature/science… Why people love him/her.

Here you can use such phrases as:

  • He played a great part in (Russian music/poetry/ science…)
  • He/she is the greatest… and a national pride.
  • His work lives on today
  • We can call him the most important Russian…
  • His works influenced the great Russian writers/poets/artists/actors/musicians…
  • Today we can really say that his works are of genius, they’re masterpieces. 
  • He devoted all his life and work to his country and its people.

6. Информация о домашнем задании, инструктаж по его выполнению.

Your home task is to write an article about Russian great poet A. S. Pushkin, using information from the quiz, the plan of writing and useful phrases for writing a biography, you can also get some interesting information about A.S. Pushkin from the Internet and use it in your text.

7. Рефлексия (подведение итогов урока).
