Our world is full of wonders. You’ve already met many wonderful houses, seen their unusual architecture in this book, even discovered what is inside them. But East or West, home is best. My country Russia is a huge country, with various architecture, where classic and modern styles are usually mixed.  

The capital of our country Moscow can be a good example of it. Many years ago, Moscow architect got an idea of an Egg – house after he’d read a book “The Fatal Eggs” by Mikhail Bulgakov. The part of the house was planned as a huge Faberge egg. It’s very impressive. It’s not a museum or even an office, it’s just a living house.

 Неre you can see a multifunctional complex Legion 3, which is located near the Kiev railway station. The creators name this house “Titanic”, but

everybody calls it “The Iron”.

My native city Novosibirsk may be proud of its famous projects of historical architecture, such as 100 flats building or house with clocks, theatre of Opera and Ballet, “Globus” theatre. There are also some new and unusual buildings. We can proudly say: the capital of Siberia is a City of Fantastic architecture 

We can meet buildings made from glass. One of them is called “The Ball”. It looks like “Cucumber building” by Sir Foster in London“Cocoon” and “Buton”, located in the city centre also get a lot of attraction. 14 floors towers in Academgorodok were built on empty piece of land. They are connected by the little bridge on 50 meters height. People call them “Geese”.
