The plan of the lesson in the 7th  Form.

The theme of the lesson: Going to Britain

The date of the lesson:      The 4th  of March, 2014.

The aims of the lesson: a) to enrich pupils’ vocabulary, to encourage pupils’   in                                                              different   tasks, to express their opinions.

                                            b) to develop pupils’ reading , writing, translating and speaking skills

                                            c) to give the pupils some information about Great    Britain, to create an English atmosphere in the classroom.

The type of lesson:                RWST

Inter – subject connection:  geography ,kazakh language, history.

Methods of teaching:            training, demonstration ,brainstorming , explanation ,         interaction ,presentation, games, question.

The equipment of the lesson:    a. Visual aids : cards, tasks, pictures, stickers,     Interactive board

                                                     b. Technical aids: computer .

The procedure of the lesson.

1. Organization        moment.

1. Greetings. Talking with a duty. T—CL. Are you ready to speak English?
2. Checking up
3. Divide into groups with help of stickers.

Choose the transport to go to the Great Britain.

2. Speaking drills.

 Brainstorming. Which languages are spoken in these countries? 

Find countries. Which countries are hidden?

III.New lesson.

Presentation. I gave you to do presentation about parts of Great Britain. Who is ready?

• Northern Ireland. Flag of Northern Ireland. The symbol of Northern Ireland Shamrock. The capital of Northern Ireland is Belfast The city of Belfast has a population of 267,500 Belfast remains a centre for industry, as well as the arts, higher education and business, a legal centre, and is the economic engine of Northern Ireland. There are many picturesque Places in Northern Irelands.
• The symbol of Wales is daffodil. The capital of Wales is Cardiff. Cardiff is an industrial city, which also has a castle, a cathedral, a university. It is the capital of Wales and its main port. The national dress of Wales. Rugby is the national game of Wales.The rules of the game are quite difficult. A team consists of fifteen players.The game is played with egg-shaped ball.

The capital of Scotland is Edinburgh. The money used is called the pound sterling. The population of Scotland is 4,996,000. The language spoken is English. Scotland is part of the United Kingdom. Let’s Visit Some Important Cities in Scotland .Edinburgh is the capital city

Haggis- a food made from the organs of sheep and oatmeal. Kilts - traditional Scottish woolen cloth costume with a tartan or plaid pattern. This is a skirt that men wear. Bagpipers - people who play the bagpipes, a traditional Scottish instrument
