The first book I got form the library was “Denis’s stories” by Viktor Dragunskiy

Viktor Dragunskiy was born on the 30 th of November 1913 th in New York. His parents were emigrants. They came back to Russia. They lived in Moscow.

He was an artist and manager in the theatre .

And also he worked as Grandfarther Frost during New Year parties.

Viktor Dragunskiy worked as a clown in “Color avenue” circus.

During the Great Patriotic War he took part in the front concerts as an artist.

When his son Denis was born, funny stories started happening with him. Viktor Dragunskiy started to fix these stories , and at the end “Denis’s stories” appeared .

First Denis stories appeared in “ Murzilka ” journal in 1959 .

The first book appeared in 1961 and contained 16 stories. In total about 90 stories were written by Dragunskiy .

The main hero Denis Korablev is funny, kind, brave and dreamy boy. These stories teach us to be noble, honest, fair, friendly, brave, kind.
