План-конспект урока английского языка, проведенного 24.11.2016г. в 6в классе МБОУ гимназии №1 учителем Лукьянцевой Н.В.

Тема урока: Путешествие по Лондону.

Цели урока: развитие языковой компетенции учащихся через обобщение знаний по теме “Лондон и его достопримечательности”.

Задачи урока:

• Социокультурный аспект – активизация навыков устной речи по теме  «Лондон»;
• Развивающий аспект – развитие способности осуществлять продуктивные и речевые действия;
• Воспитательный аспект – воспитание уважительного отношения к иноязычной культуре;
• Учебный аспект – совершенствование лексических навыков говорения в виде монологической речи, развитие навыков аудирования и чтения.

Т: Good afternoon, class!

Ps: Good afternoon, teacher!

T: How are you? I’m very well, thanks. I am glad to see you.

Sit down, please. There are some guests here. Good morning dear guests. Welcome to our lesson. I hope you’ll enjoy our work.

As usual we start our lesson with some questions.

T: Who is on duty today?

P1: I am. I will ask…What is the date today?

P2: Today is the 24th of November.

P1: What is the weather like?

P2: The weather is good.

P1: Who is absent?

P2: Nobody is. All are present.

Today we shall have a talk about the sights of London.

But first, I want to ask you some questions about this city and see what you know about it:

- Look at the map! This wonderful country has many different names: Great Britain, The UK or just Britain. But it has the official name. Could you name it? What is the official name of this country?

 What other name of the country Great Britain do you know? (The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.)

Where is Great Britain situated? (GB is situated on the British Isles to the northwest of Europe.)

Is the territory of GB large or small? (It is small)

What are the four parts of the UK? (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland)

What is the capital of England? (London is the capital of England)

What is the capital of the UK? (London)

Is it an old city? (Yes, it is)

In what city does the British government work? (London)

Is there a king or a queen in the UK now? (There is a queen)

What is the name of the queen? (ElizabethII)

- What do you imagine when you think of London?

 - When I think of London I imagine Queen Elisabeth II, Buckingham Palace, the residence of the queen and royal family in London, Big Ben, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, St Paul’s Cathedral.

- Would you like to go to London?

- I would like to go to London too.

- Look at the map, at this red double-decker bus. What do you think is the theme of our lesson?

- The theme of the lesson is travelling to London.We continue to speak about London.

T: and now you will tell me about some famous London landmarks. (Показпрезентации)

Дима Сунько: London is the capital of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, its political, cultural and business centre. The City of London is its central part; it is also the oldest part of London. Many people work in the city but very few live there. There are a lot of banks and offices in the city.

Артём: The Tower of London, or the Tower, is an ancient castle on the north bank of the Thames. There are some buildings on its territory behind strong grey walls. The White Tower which gave the name to the place is a central building. The Tower of London was a palace, a fortress, a prison and the King`s zoo. Now it is a museum.

ДанилиИра:St Paul`s Cathedral is one of the most famous and most important beautiful cathedrals in the country. It is a cathedral with a very large dome and the clock tower on the west end.

Ангелина: The geographical centre of London is Trafalgar Square with its fountains, a tall column, a monument to Admiral Nelson, and the National Gallery. The Gallery is world-famous and has the largest collection of paintings in the UK. Trafalgar Square is a popular place with tourists from different countries.

СоняПрокопенко: Not far from Trafalgar Square there is Westminster Palace, or the Houses of Parliament, which lies on the north bank of theThames. It has three towers; the most famous of them is the Clock Tower, or Big Ben. There are some small gardens around the Houses of Parliament and more than a thousand and a hundred rooms in it.

Яна: London is a green city with a lot of parks and in its centre. Hyde Park is one of the largest parks in central London. It is open from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m. Londoners like to take long walks over its grassy territory in fine weather. Hyde Park is famous for its Speaker’s Corner. It is the place where on Sundays people stand up on boxes or chairs and speak of anything they want.

Вероника: There are other parks and gardens in the centre of London as well. Some of them are near Buckingham Palace, the London home and office of the British monarch. When the Queen of the King is in London, they live in Buckingham Palace. The gardens around the palace have a lake where flamingos live.

Семён:London streets are different. Some of them are wide and long, some are narrow and short. Some of them are very famous and popular with tourists, for example Downing Street in central London. Here at number 10 the British Prime Minister lives and works. There is usually a policeman outside the front door of number 10.

Маша:Oxford Street is a famous street too. It is an important shopping place. There are about three hundred shops in it. They say it is the busiest shopping street in Europe. Oxford Street is fairly long, about two and a half kilometers. There are big and small shops on its both sides.

СоняГалуза:Whitehall is a wide busy street in central London. Government buildings and offices are situated there. It is the political centre of the British capital. When newspapers write Whitehall they often mean the British government.

Кирилл: In all streets of London you can see red double-decker buses or just double-deckers. They are also a symbol of the city of London. From the double-deckers visitors to London can see the best of the city.
