The review of the story “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens

Charles Dickens is a great English writer. His works are rightfully considered to be an artistic symbol of life in Victorian England. One of his most popular stories is “A Christmas Carol”. The action takes place in Victorian London. Central to the story is the spiritual transformation of a miserly London pawnbroker, Ebenezer Scrooge.
In “A Christmas Carol”, Dickens shows the image of a miser, whose name soon became common among readers. He’s a slave to his greed and stinginess, which become his punishment. His life is poor, for there is no place in it for love and generosity. Christmas itself gives Scrooge a gift, and the spirits of Christmas give him the opportunity to fix his life before it's too late. After rethinking his values, Scrooge revived his soul and began to do good deeds, which were completely alien to him before.
The literary value of this story for me is undeniable. The sooner it finds its reader, the better. This is a wonderful story that contains valuable instructions, which the author generously shares with his reader.
