План открытого урока по английскому языку в 11 классе

Тема: Книги / Books.

Цель урока: развитие речевых умений учащихся.

Задачи:

Познавательный аспект:

·                     способствовать расширению общего кругозора учащихся;

·                     ознакомить учащихся с отношением к книгам других людей;

·                     стимулировать деятельность учащихся путём обращения к дополнительным источникам информации, включая ресурсы Интернета.

Учебный аспект:

·                     cовершенствовать речевые навыки учащихся;

·                     совершенствовать умение учащихся высказывать свое мнение по теме;

Развивающий аспект:

·                     развивать у школьников способности к наблюдению, анализу, сравнению и обобщению;

·                     развивать у них психические функции, связанные с речевой деятельностью: логическое мышление, память, внимание, восприятие;

·                     развивать положительные эмоции и чувства школьников;

·                     формировать у них потребность и способность осуществлять продуктивные речевые действия.

Воспитательный аспект:

·                     способствовать воспитанию толерантного отношению к чужому мнению, чужой культуре, более глубокому осознанию своей культуры;

·                     воспитывать чувство сопричастности к мировой культуре и литературе;

Тип урока:

Обобщение ранее пройденного материала.

 

Оборудование урока:

1.                Мультимедийный проектор.

2.                Ноутбук.

3.                Презентация “Книги”.

Методы и приемы:

1.                 Коммуникативная направленность заданий.

2.                 Создание благоприятных условий для общения на АЯ.

3.                 Участие каждого в общении.

4.                 Отработка аспектов АЯ в речевых единицах.

5.                 Использование компьютерной презентации.

Ход урока:

1. Организационный момент.

T: -Hello, kids. Let’s begin our lesson. Today we’re going to talk a lot. Look at the 1st slide. Describe what you see.

P 1: -We can see a sort of well of books.

P 2: -It’s a tunnel which consists of different books, a lot of books.

T: -What do you think this picture symbolize?

P 1: -I think it means that when we read we dive deep.

P 2: -It looks like a portal in another world.

T: -So, what are we going to talk about today?

PP: -Books.

2. Основная часть.

1. Чтение, перевод, комментирование.

T: -Let’s read some quotations about books and translate them into Russian.

Quotations:

1. Some books are to be tasted; others to be swallowed; and some few to be chewed and digested.

2. Every burnt book enlightens the world.

3. The books that help you the most are those which make you think the most.

(Учащиеся читают и переводят цитаты.)

T: -Do you agree with these quotations?

P 1: -Yes, I think that books help us in our life. They make us think and understand a lot of things, they let us learn smt new. They make the world more interesting, cleverer, and enlighten it and it’s not necessary to burn books for it.

P 2: -I don’t think it’s a good idea to burn books. They enlighten the world better when they are ok, not burnt.

4. A room without books is like a body without a soul...

P 1: -It means that people should have books at home. Some people have a lot of books because they like reading and can’t live without books. Other people have only a few books at home-only the books they need in their work or studies. Or books for kids-to read them before they go to bed. The books we have at home show our interests. It’s hard to imagine people who have no books at home.

P 2: -If young people don’t like reading they, however, have at home their student’s books.

P 3: -I don’t think this idea is actual today. Nowadays there are people who like reading but they read e-books or just read on-line. And they don’t need paper books at home.

T: -OK, everyone can have their own opinion about it. Now let’s have a talk about the role of reading in our lives.

2. Учебная беседа по теме.  

Questions:

1. Does reading play an important part in your life? How much time do you spend on reading? Do you read for pleasure or for information?

2. There are books that stay in our memory forever. Do you have such books? Why does it happen?

3. What role do the books play in our life? How do they form our moral values?

4. Do you sometimes read the same book again and again? Why?

5. Do you choose a book because your friend recommend it to you?

6. Which books do you read in you free time? Which books do you take on trips or for study?

7. Do you think that books help you to learn to express your thoughts and feelings more exactly?

8. Do you like Literature lessons? What do you do at these lessons? What kind of books do you read for Literature lessons?

9. Do you like to read classics? Why?

10. Do you like to read or learn poetry? Why?

Учащиеся отвечают на вопросы.

3. Активизация ЛЕ по теме.

Now let’s talk a little about genres of literature. Let’s read the words, translate them and explain the characteristics of each style.

Words:

fiction         science fiction       non-fiction        detective stories      adventure stories      fantasy      fairy tales     folk tales      humorous stories      

heroic stories    short stories      books about travels     historical books     biographies    autobiographies     documental material

Учащиеся читают и переводят слова, затем объясняют их значения.

P1: -Fiction is a kind of literature where the author describes real or imaginary events and people, describes their feelings and emotions.

P 2: -Science fiction is a kind of literature where the author describes imaginary events in the future or in space, describes future technologies, machines, robots and so on.

P 3: -Fantasy is a sort of literature where the author describes events where dragons, elves, dwarves, legendary kings take part…

T: -What books do you like reading if any?

P1: -I don’t like reading.

P2:-I like to read fantasy and watch fantasy films like “The Lord of the Rings” to compare. These books and films are really exciting.

P 2: -I like reading detective stories. It’s interesting to guess who the criminal is.

P 3: -I like reading biographies of famous people. It’s interesting to learn how they got success in life, what made them special.

4.Дискуссия.

We see that most of you read. It’s a pleasant fact. Now let’s discuss some ideas about books, what is important when we choose a book to read.

Agree or disagree.

1. It is very good when a book has colourful, attractive illustrations. A nicely illustrated book helps to understand books characters. A book without illustrations is boring to read.

2. It is important to find out something about the author of the book chosen for reading. The author’s life give explanations of his characters’ behaviour and actions.

3. It is clear at first sight whether the book is interesting to read.

P1: -I think it’s not important at all if the book has illustrations or not. If it’s interesting it can have no illustrations at all. Maybe, colourful illustrations are important for small children but not for older people. I know that most books for adults are without pictures. If we want pictures, we watch films.

P 2: -It doesn’t depend on illustrations if a book is boring or not. It depends only on a book itself. So it doesn’t matter if a book has pictures or not. When you read a book without pictures, you can imagine yourself characters and situations. It’s more interesting than look at ready pictures. And often you and a painter see the characters differently. It can be annoying.

P 3: -I don’t think that it’s very important to know anything about the author of the book. The book is interesting or not, you want to read it or not. And it doesn’t depend on the fact when and where the author was born, who his parents were and where he studied. Very often if you like the book, you want to learn smt about the author and read some more his books. Sometimes the author’s biography can be interesting itself. Sure, the author’s life can explain the situations in the book, the characters’ behaviour. But I think that we can do without this information…

3. Заключительная часть.

T: -OK, we’ve been talking a lot about books today. To conclude, let’s read and translate the words of a famous actor John Malkovich.

Нет ничего выше, чем чтение. Книги - главный источник удовольствия и вдохновения, важнее, чем театр, кино или изобразительное искусство. (Джон Малкович.)

P 1: -There is nothing higher than reading.

P 2: -Books are the main source of pleasure and inspiration..

P 3: -more important than theatre, cinema or art.

T: -We can discuss this point of view, but different people have different ideas about books and reading. Today we have expressed ours.
