Выходят два ученика, как бы продолжая разговор:

1. Then why is the country named America but not Columbia? If Columbus had discovered America it would have had his name.

If my memory doesn't fail me there isn't even a state named after Christopher Columbus, only   a district

3.        His name is Henry Hudson. He was the first to bring the ships to the harbour of modern
New York. That's why in Russian we  say  peкa  Гyдзон -  the Hudson River.
