Пояснительная записка

Цель обучения иностранным языкам  - это уже не простая передача лингвистических знаний, умений и навыков, и даже не энциклопедическое освоение страноведческой информации. Центральным местом в педагогическом процессе должно стать формирование способности к участию в межкультурной коммуникации.

Проблема осуществления эффективной межкультурной коммуникации в общении с носителями английского языка до сих пор актуальна.

Полноценное общение предполагает, с одной стороны, адекватную интерпретацию речевого поведения партнёра, а с другой – оформление своих мыслей для носителя другой культуры.

Речевое поведение британцев и русских отличается и это отличие связано с понятием вежливости. Британцам свойственно удерживать разговор в предусмотренных границах и руководствоваться  рассудочностью. Русским же, в свою очередь, свойственна откровенность, задушевность разговора, выражение личной оценки, критика, минимум комплиментов и похвалы. Основу русскоязычного общения составляют прямолинейность, однозначность, естественность и эмоциональность.

Основу англоязычного общения составляет ритуализованность, которая отражается в принципе невмешательства и в понятии privacy, которым подчеркивается обособленность от внешнего мира и личная свобода. Данную черту восприятия мира, которую стереотипно представляют как  британскую сдержанность, можно определить как дистанцированность, которая проявляется в гибком реагировании  на реплики собеседника и, тем самым, избегании прямого конфликта.

Таким образом, для поддержания мирной атмосферы беседы и положительного образа в глазах других собеседников используют различные стратегии и тактики.

Бытовому англоязычному поведению свойственны:

- многословие при низкой информативности,

- использование экспрессивно-оценочных средств для поддержания ритуального внимания к собеседнику при нейтральном к нему отношении,

- склонность скрывать истинные чувства,

- демократичность, независимо от социального статуса и социальных отношений.

Для результативного общения с англоговорящими собеседниками носителю русского языка следует руководствоваться следующими коммуникативными правилами:

1. Соблюдение регламента, меры и пропорции, что основывается  на знании структуры процесса общения и допустимых тем.

2. Соблюдение дистанции, что подразумевает знание стратегий, позволяющих употреблять различные речевые средства сообразно поставленным коммуникативным задачам.

Для успешного осуществления межкультурной коммуникации при изучении иностранного языка активно используется работа с диалогами.

Данный сборник предназначен для развития устной речи студентов средних профессиональных образовательных учреждений. Диалоги основаны на лексико-грамматическом материале современного английского языка. Они включают так же идиомы, фразеологизмы, что повышает заинтересованность учащихся к данным диалогам. Тематика диалогов разнообразна, охватывает различные сферы жизни, например, "Asking for a drink", "Checking in", "Asking for directions".
