I’ve chosen photo number … I like taking photos and I do it everywhere and anytime. Look at this photo. It’s amazing, isn’t it?

I took this picture when I was in the café two months ago. My friends and I went there to celebrate the beginning of the school year. We had great time there!

In the photo you can see a pretty girl. She is young. Her hair is long, her eyes are big and beautiful. She has her hands near the mouth, hiding the smile. She is wearing a pink T-shirt and jeans, but you can’t see them. In the background there are some more girls talking and smiling. They are all having good time.

I took this photo because I was amazed by this wonderful girl. I keep it in my album because it reminds me those fine moments.

I decided to show this photo to you to share my emotions. I wish you were there with me.

In conclusion, I want to say that such photos make me feel good and cheer me up.

                                                    The Internet

People can’t imagine their life without the Internet. One can find different information there, watch videos and films, chat with friends, prepare for the exams. It goes without saying, that the Internet can also become a problem. For example, there are sites with inappropriate information, illustrating racism, nationalism, terrorism and other dangerous things.

Nevertheless the Internet is very convenient for communicating with people. Sometimes friends or family members are far from home and there is a great chance to talk to them and even see. However, if to choose, it’s better to communicate face-to-face, hang out and do sports with your friends than to spend time online.

Personally, I prefer to use the Internet for reading books and watching movies. I have no time to go to the libraries and I enjoy spending time lying on the sofa with a cup of tea or coffee in front of the screen of my computer.

                                             The United Kingdom

I’m going to give a talk about the United Kingdom. Everyone knows that it consists of 4 parts and each is worth visiting.

When I think of the UK, I remember Big Ben, the Thames, the London Eye, Buckingham Palace and other places. Moreover, I associate this country with Sherlock Holmes and Queen Elizabeth.

 Personally, I would definitely like to visit the United Kingdom because I want to walk along the streets, drink English tea, talk to the natives and breathe its air.

I think the best season to visit this country is winter, before Christmas. It’s magnificent when the streets are decorated, people hurry to buy presents, everyone is happy. It’s magic in the air.

To sum up, I can say that the United Kingdom is a country with long history, beautiful places, historical buildings and interesting people. That’s why everyone should visit the UK.

                                               Wild animals

I’m going to give a talk about animals. We can’t imagine our life without animals, no matter are they wild or domestic.

Unfortunately, wild animals face a lot of problems nowadays. People hunt them, take them to the zoos and circuses, cut down forests and woods, pollute the environment. Therefore a great amount of animals have no their wild habitat anymore.

I don’t know exactly but we can see squirrels, wolves, bears, foxes, arctic foxes, raccoons, hares, elks and deer in the forests in Russia. I definitely know that the number of species is decreasing every year.

It’s a difficult question if people should keep wild animals in zoos. From the one side they save animals from dying without food and place to live. From the other side they should live in their wild habitat. It’s normal.

To sum up, I can say that people should care about wildlife.

        Thank you for your letter. I was happy to hear that you are fine. I am sorry I haven’t written for so long but I’ve been really busy with my exams.

In your letter you asked me some questions and I’ll answer them with pleasure. Well, I really like my new house. It’s big, cozy and it’s near my new school. You see, I walk there every morning. It takes me ten minutes to get there. Frankly speaking, my parents decided to move here because of my dad’s job. I think it was a good decision.

By the way, I want to learn more information about your contest. How many competitors were there? Was the contest difficult? Where was it held?

Sorry, I have to go now and help my mum with dinner.

                                       The city\town you live in.

Now I’m going to give a talk about the town I live in. It goes without saying, that everyone has a place where he or she feels like home. My home is my town Slavyansk-on-Kuban. I’m proud of this place. It’s not a big but cosy town with a lot of trees and flowers, parks and fountains.

Unfortunately, there are some environmental problems in Slavyansk-on-Kuban. For example, water and pollution. Our water is not pure enough to drink and air is also polluted. There are a lot of cars on the roads, which emit harmful gases into the atmosphere.

Frankly speaking, I wouldn’t change anything in my town. I think it’s rather beautiful and attractive to tourists.

In conclusion, I can say that it’s great when people like the place where they live.

                          How to prevent acid rains

Preventing acid rains is one of the most important tasks for people today. The causes of these rains are different: industries, toxic wastes, the increasing energy consumption and other.

Scientists all over the world are busy with solving this problem. The main way is to build sewage disposal plants. They will make the air cleaner. Another way to prevent the acid rains is to decrease the number of vehicles in the large cities and, thus, there will be less traffic fumes emitted. Besides, people shouldn’t cut down the woods. Moreover, they should plant the trees, recycle wastes and use new environmental friendly technologies.

                                                            Exams

Now I’m going to talk about exams. It goes without saying, that each person has ever passed even one exam in his or her life. To my mind, exams are a really good way of testing students’ knowledge, especially if there are oral and written forms. When one takes an exam he or she has to use all their knowledge and skills. So, exams show the real level of understanding and using the information.

Frankly speaking, the most difficult exam for me is Math. I’m afraid of difficult tasks and of making silly mistakes.

In my opinion, one should get ready for exams properly and accurately. We should read a lot, revise the material, learn the rules, do different tasks both easy and difficult ones. Also we need to relax before the exam in order not to be too tired and too nervous.

In conclusion, I can say that exams are very serious part of our education and our life but we should be ready to prove our knowledge anyway.

                                              Transport

I’m going to tell you about transport. We can’t imagine our life without different means of transport. They make everything easier. We can reach the destination faster than on foot and more comfortable.

It goes without saying, that people prefer various ways of travelling. Some choose cars, other like planes or trains. I think it depends on taste mostly and on the price also.

As for me, I would like to travel by ship because I like watching seawater and sea creatures such as dolphins, fishes and seagulls.

Frankly speaking, my favourite means of transport is plane. I think it’s the fastest and the most convenient way of travelling. Sometimes it is not very cheap but there are often inexpensive tickets.

In conclusion, I can say that no matter what means of transport you choose it should be comfortable for you.
