WHAT WORRIES YOUNG PEOPLE?

To begin with, this question implies the controversy of the society problems, because we suppose that all problems of the youth are connected with changes in our society, style of life, education, economics, adults, etc.

On the one hand an average Russian teenager like the most part of European and American teenagers wants to be independent, to express his identity with the help of different things for example music or something else, to earn money by himself and, of course, change the world to its best. But, unfortunately, “the society” cannot suggest anything worthwhile for teens. As a result they become violent and aggressive, try to rebel against adults. Different laws that should keep order in the country only cause rebellious feelings among teens.

Crime for young people is an expression of their inability to join the society. Adults don’t take teens seriously and are quite indifferent to their problems that they cannot solve without grown-up’s help. So we should take urgent steps, because if we don’t change something in our style of life, society and country the next generation will become loss of our future.

Of course, it’s awful, that many young people have become addicted to drugs and alcohol. And the first that we should do is to involve teens into something really useful and interesting, so they can forget about everyday problems. In a word, there’s much work for everyone, but if we make our efforts we will be successful.

по проведению контрольной работы по чтению с пониманием основного содержания  в 10 классе

 Время проведения:  III четверть (февраль)

На выполнение заданий данной контрольной работы отводится 45 минут. Учащиеся сидят по одному. (Если позволяет помещение)

Задание 1.  Учащиеся читают текст (возможно использование словарей)

Задание 2.   Учащиеся отвечают на вопросы. За каждый правильный ответ 3 балла.

Задание 3. Учащиеся выписывают из текста 2 предложения с модальными глаголами или их эквивалентами и переводят их на русский язык.   За каждый правильный ответ 4 балл.                                                                                                        Всего  - 8 баллов

Задание 4. Учащиеся заканчивают предложения.     За каждый правильный ответ по 1 баллу.                                                                                                                  Всего  - 3 баллов 

Задание 5. Учащиеся выписывают из текста 5 существительных во множественном числе и ставят их в единственное число.  За каждый правильный ответ 1 балл.

Задание 6. Учащиеся выписывают из текста 5 слов с префиксами и суффиксами, или состоящими из двух слов. За каждый правильный ответ 1 балл

Dear Lena,

        Thank you for your letter. It was so good to hear from you. I also travelled a lot this summer. I was very lucky. In August I went to Summer School in Boston. I spent four weeks there. We lived and studied at a good state school.

The Elephant

      The Elephant is the largest of all land animals. He lives in the deep forests of Asia and Africa. He likes to bathe and can stay near a lake for hours.

      The trunk of the elephant is to him what the neck is to other animals. It is very long, but he can move it easily. If the elephant likes he can make his trunk shorter or longer.

      The trunk is also a nose to him. The trunk is an arm and a hand for the elephant too. Thanks to the trunk the elephant can pick fruit from high trees. The elephant likes to eat the fruit in the forest and also the leaves and young branches of the trees.

     When the elephant sleeps he often stands. He seldom sleeps more than four hours out of twenty-four.

     The elephant is a very strong, gentle and clever animal.

     People tame elephants and use them for work.
