        Shakespeare’s Hamlet is a great tragedy. The story of revenge, jealousy, ambitions, power and money worship, about hypocrisy and treachery.

        “to be or not to be: that is the question:

whether’tis nobler in the mind to suffer….”(

        All Shakespeare’s comedies are written in easy-flowing verse. They are full of jokes and puns.. All the characters are very bright and are depicted with the deep insight into human psychology.

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.

If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

My love is as a fever, longing still
For that which longer nurseth the disease,
Feeding on that which doth preserve the ill,
The uncertain sickly appetite to please.
My reason, the physician to my love,
Angry that his prescriptions are not kept,
Hath left me, and I desperate now approve
Desire is death, which physic did except.
Past cure I am, now reason is past care,
And frantic-mad with evermore unrest;
My thoughts and my discourse as madmen's are,
At random from the truth vainly express'd;

For I have sworn thee fair and thought thee bright,
Who art as black as hell, as dark as night.

***

Take all my loves, my love, yea, take them all;
What hast thou then more than thou hadst before?
No love, my love, that thou mayst true love call;
All mine was thine before thou hadst this more.

Then if for my love thou my love receivest,
I cannot blame thee for my love thou usest;
But yet be blamed, if thou thyself deceivest
By wilful taste of what thyself refusest.

I do forgive thy robbery, gentle thief,
Although thou steal thee all my poverty;
And yet, love knows, it is a greater grief
To bear love's wrong than hate's known injury.

Lascivious grace, in whom all ill well shows,
Kill me with spites; yet we must not be foes.

***

Tired with all these, for restful death I cry,
As, to behold desert a beggar born,
And needy nothing trimm'd in jollity,
And purest faith unhappily forsworn,
And guilded honour shamefully misplaced,
And maiden virtue rudely strumpeted,
And right perfection wrongfully disgraced,
And strength by limping sway disabled,
And art made tongue-tied by authority,
And folly doctor-like controlling skill,
And simple truth miscall'd simplicity,
And captive good attending captain ill:

Tired with all these, from these would I be gone,
Save that, to die, I leave my love alone.

My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun;
Coral is far more red than her lips' red;
If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun;
If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head.
I have seen roses damask'd, red and white,
But no such roses see I in her cheeks;
And in some perfumes is there more delight
Than in the breath that from my mistress reeks.
I love to hear her speak, yet well I know
That music hath a far more pleasing sound;
I grant I never saw a goddess go;
My mistress, when she walks, treads on the ground:

And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare
As any she belied with false compare.

Thou blind fool, Love, what dost thou to mine eyes,
That they behold, and see not what they see?
They know what beauty is, see where it lies,
Yet what the best is take the worst to be.
If eyes corrupt by over-partial looks

Be anchor'd in the bay where all men ride,
Why of eyes' falsehood hast thou forged hooks,
Whereto the judgment of my heart is tied?
Why should my heart think that a several plot
Which my heart knows the wide world's common place?
Or mine eyes seeing this, say this is not,
To put fair truth upon so foul a face?

In things right true my heart and eyes have erred,
And to this false plague are they now transferr'd.

A friend in need is a friend indeed.                   A man can die but once.

Knowledge is a power.                                      An apple a day keeps the doctor away.

All is well that ends well.                                  Bad news travel fast.

Better late than never.                                       Don’t trouble trouble until trouble troubles you.

East or West home is best.                                Every cloud has a silver lining.

First think then speak.                                       Every dog has his day.

Live and learn.                                                   Look before you leap.

No news is good news.                                      There is no smoke without fire.

Two heads are better than one.                          The early bird catches the warm.

So many men so many minds.                           Appetite comes with eating.

All is not gold that glitters.                                A cat in gloves catches no mice.

Everything is good in its season.                       He laughs best who laughs last.

COMPLETE THE PROVERBS A friend indeed Is a friend indeed. A man can die but once . Knowledge Is a power. An apple a day keeps the doctor away. All is well that ends well. Bad news travel fast . Better late than never. Don’t trouble trouble until trouble troubles you. East or West home is best . Every cloud has a silver lining . First think then speak. Every dog has his day.

Live and learn. Look before you leap . No news is good news. There is no smoke without fire. Two heads are better than one. The early bird catches the worm. So many men so many minds. Appetite comes with eating. All is not gold that glitters . A cat in gloves catches no mice . Everything is good In its season. He laughs best who loves last.
