how to motivate students in doing homework

Hi, I`m Kovaleva Nataly Vladimirovna. I`m a teacher of English at the Secondary school #1 in Bely Yar. While my teaching at school I can say that the worst in doing homework is bore. it`s boring to do usual hometasks on the base of the textbooks.I suggest my students two things in doing homework: choice of level and choice of form. Let me show you my ways of making homework interesting and useful. So,homework should be:
1. Creative f.e.writing the horror stories for Halloween and making the scare costumes for the halloween party;
2. Various - with different forms: making short reports about local sightseeings, postcards, calendars;
3. Easy to do it, not too complicated - the translation of the Russian fairy-tale and showing it;
4. Interesting - making small booklets about animals;
5. With personal information - f.e. the presentations about themselves;
6. Using modern technologies - Internet, telephones and other gadgets;
7. Self-assessment is a good way of it: different cards with criterias are useful also.
So, let your students use their creativity and fantasy and it`ll be the best motivation for them
