Introduction

A lot of people like animals. They like to look at them at the zoo. But most of them prefer having pets at home. I have got two domestic animals: a cat and a dog.

The main aims of my work are:

To ask my classmates about their pets
To tell them about my domestic animals
To tell my classmates what my pets can do

The main tasks of my work are:

To make notes on theme “My pets”
To make a poll of my classmates and to know everything about their pets
To count the results
To make diagram of the results
To make up an English-Russian dictionary
To make a Power Point presentation.

My pets

I have got two pets: a cat and a dog.

My cats name is Seriy. He is white and his nose is pink. But his tale is grey. I love my cat. It can run and jump. But he cannot swim because he is afraid of water. I like to sing, and Seriy sometimes helps me to sing songs. Seriy is very kind. I never saw him angry.

As you know I have got a dog too. He is brown and black. His tale is brown too. His eyes are green. And his name is Kim. My family and I know that our dog is very strong and brave. I like to go for a walk with my dog. I would like to teach my dog how to play football.

I love my pets. But I want my parents to buy me a colorful parrot.

To know more about pets of my classmates I have created these questions:

Have you got a pet?
Have you got a dog?
Have you got a cat?
Can your dog swim?
Does your cat like to run?
Do you love your pet?

The results are the following:

25 children have got a pet
15 children have got a dog
15 children have got a cat
10 children say their dog can swim

children say their dog can’t swim

15 children say their cat can run
25 children love their pets

Conclusion

I made a poll and now I know that everybody from my class has got favourite pets: a dog or a cat. Day by day we look after them and we love them very much.
