Nuclear pollution.

1. In nineteen eighty six exploded a nuclear-power station in Chernobyl in the former Soviet Union. Science still cannot predict all the consequences of Chernobyl. (картинка чернобыля)

A nuclear explosion is extremely fast release of energy. It is accompanied by a blinding flash and a thunderous sound. (картинка ядерного взрыва)

2. People started to construct nuclear reactors in the USA and in the Soviet Union in the late forties in the twentieth century. There is plutonium in nuclear reactors. Plutonium is a radioactive element with a very long life. Plutonium is dangerous for health and nature. (картинка ядерного взрыва)
3. Nuclear reactors are placed to nuclear stations. Nuclear power stations can go wrong and cause nuclear pollution. Nuclear pollution cannot be seen but its effects can be terrible.

To prevent nuclear pollution, we need good filters and qualified staff at nuclear-power stations. (картинка ядерной станции)

1. At present time there are different organizations which are actively working to protect the nature of the harm caused by people. They want to stop damage, which was caused by people as a result of nuclear tests and toxic emission into the environment. (картинка Green Pease)

Air pollution.

1. Nowadays air surrounding the Earth becomes more and more polluted.

People are slowly destroying the nature environment around them. Today we are anxious about the state of the air we breathe because every year world industry throws out into atmosphere about 1 000 million tons of dust and smoke.

2. According  to sources there are two types of air pollution:

1. Natural

contain mineral, plant or microbial origin, which include volcanic eruptions (картинка вулкана), forest and grassland fires (картинка горящих лесов)

         -   Man – made

contain exhaust fumes from transport (картинка с  машинами), and industry smoke (картинка с заводами)

To make air clean again we need good filters in cars, buses, plants and factories. Clean air is necessary for our health. If people want to survive, they must solve this environmental problem as quickly as it is possible.
