                                         MY   TOWN                                    

My native town is Electrougly. It is situated  in 38 kilometres  to the east of  Moscow. Our district center is Noginsk.The population of our town is about 20 thousand  people. Our town  is an industrial center.Its three factories produce very important things. The industrial development of our place began many years ago with the construction of the factory  «Electrougly» which makes  brushes for electric engines. The railway connects our town with Moscow and  Noginsk. Many people of town work in Moscow and every day they go there  by train The railwaystation is in the north of our town and we can get there by bus  or on foot.There is no theatre in our town but films and performances we can see at the Culturel House or at the cinema «Kvant». We have got two libraries. They are in Shkolnay street.  One of them is for children, the other one for adults.In October Square threre is a monument to the Russion Soldier who fell in  the Great Patriotic War.There are always flowers there. The town has got some shops  and  department shops.There are two markets in our town. Many people come to the market to buy or  to sell vegetables, fruit and some other  things.  Our post-office is at the corner of  Sovetskaya and  Shkolnaya streets.There are two secondary schools and two stadiums in the town. There is a hospital for children in the suburb near the forest. There are  two chemist`s in our town in Central  and Mayakovskogo streets .Behind  the  Cultural House there is an old park with a pond. It is the place of rest for many  people of our town at the week-ends. The oldest building in our town is in October Square. Many, many years ago it was a prince estate. As legends say the building was erected by Malyuto Skuratov the oprichnic leader of tsar Ivan the Terrible. Then the family of the princes Cherkasskie  becomes the owners of the estate. And in the middle of the 18th centure princes Volkonskie owned it. Nowdays our technical college is placed in this duilding. In the centre of the town   near the market there is a church. For many years the church was in ruins. Now the church is being restored.The orthodox Christians visit the church.
