Как написать захватывающую историю?

На уроке английского языка мы с нашим учителем английского решили создать совместную историю. Это представляло собой игру, которая называется «A word by word story». Стратегия данной игры заключалось в следующем:  нам дано было первое предложение истории If I had known it was going to be such a bad day, I would have stayed in bed in the morning, и  ученики по очереди говорили по одному слову, которое должно было сочетаться с предыдущим словом  и согласовываться по правилам грамматики английского языка.  Так, нам удалось написать весёлую и удивительную историю.

Вот какой вышла наша история:

If I had known it was going to be such a bad day, I would have stayed in bed in the morning. Firstly, I went shopping and bought beautiful clothes. But I lost my glasses and decided to go home. After I saw a crime. I called 911 and told about it. Then policemen came there and became superstars. A well-known governor decided to congratulate me.

Однако в ней было много «просчетов», другими словами, лексика была небогатой и простой, так же объем текста был небольшой. Каждому ученику требовалось воссоздать улучшенную версию истории.

The governor, exhausted but pleased people applauded the police as they were superstars .

So, governor and people congratulated me too. I was so happy.

I was upset because unpleasant smell was at home and pie had burned. Moreover, I remembered I had left my glasses in the store.

In the end, I was shown on TV with no make-up, with a terrible haircut, terrified and depressed, I was like a parrot!
