1. Loch Ness Loch Ness - one of the most famous sites in Scotland and around the world. Brought glory to the legend of the lake monster, nicknamed "Nessie". Visiting the village Dramnadrouchit, you can immediately see two exhibitions on the elusive creature, and look at the statue of the beast, made allegedly in full size. Surroundings of the lake are no less interesting: it's Castle and the ruins of the castle Alduri Urhard, which offers a wonderful view of the lake. And located near Inverness - a small town about 260 miles north of Edinburgh, it is believed that the majority of Inverness is ancient Scottish families, and that is - the real birthplace of oatmeal, whiskey and bagpipes.
