Vegetables From Russian Kitchen Garden

A-apple Apple is the most ancient cultural plant. Bible Adam and Eva tasted it first. It was the reason of Trojan War. In Russia people like apples very much and grow a lot of them.    B-beet Romans began to eat beet many years ago. In Russian kitchen we cook borsch and salads of it.

C- cucumber  The native land of a cucumber is India. Here the plant grows 6 thousand years, and in Russia - since Ivan Groznyy’s times.  The word "cucumber" comes from Greek - unripe. Carrots At a yard of Emperor Charles the Great in VIII century carrot was a delicacy and a holiday dish. The main role of a carrot is carotene which paints the roots in orange. D- Dill E-eggplant F-fennel, filbertG-garlic the onions and garlic became food of the people 6 thousand years ago. Ancient Egypt garlic was a good food for slaves. In a kitchen garden the onions will protect a potato and other vegetables.
