My great-grandfather. I have got a great-grandfather who was called Bikov Efim Mitrofanovitch . He was born in 1901. Since his youth he was taught to drive the machine. And he worked at the state farm as a driver.

His family . The great-grandfather had 4 sons. One of them is my grandfather Andrey. Both the great-grandfather and his sons were engaged in music, played bayan, and guitar .

In 1942 my great-grandfather took part in the Great Patriotic War with Germany.He was a souldier of the western front.

At the front he was the driver of the commander. Once they have got under bombardment. Directly above the road on which they went on a fascist plane appeared. It came nearer and nearer…The great-grandfather has not become puzzled and has closed the commander himself.

When he returned to the part he was awarded the medal soon. He has received a medal for his courage .It was his first medal.

The great-grandfather has reached Berlin. At him many medals are an award of a red star. But he liked his first award a medal for courage.

Many years have passed since that time. He is not alive. But memory of him lives in my heart.
