The title of the work is “In search of Harry Potter”.

The reasons of choosing the topic are:

-         there are many fans of the Harry Potter books and films;

-         thanks to these books and films, Britain has got a tourism boom;

-         a new theme park ‘The World of Harry Potter’ was opened in the USA in 2010;

-         to learn the further life of the actors Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Ron Weasley.

The aim of my work is to find and summarize the material about some places and actors that are proud to have been seen in the Harry Potter films.

The tasks are:

-         to look through some special material about a tourism boom in Britain and the USA (thanks to the Harry Potter books and films);

-         to search the information in the Internet.

The most recognized face in Britain and in the world today is Daniel Radcliff. The image of Harry Potter is so familiar that even people who haven’t read any of the books or seen any of the films know exactly who he is and exactly who he looks like.

Why these books are so popular among teens all over the world?

Thanks to J.K. Rowling’s story telling talent, it is easy to believe that Harry’s transition from sad school-boy to famous wizard is the most natural thing in the world.

Secondly, British people always like to take the side of the underdog and Harry has all the attributes of one.

Thirdly, the school which Harry is sent to, Hogwarts, has a lot in common with a classic British public school.

Thanks to Harry Potter, Britain has got a tourist boom. As Harry potter movies have been filmed all around Britain, there are now a few places that are proud to have been seen in the Harry Potter films. For example, Harrow School, Durham Cathedral and the Highlands in Scotland. Many people decide to visit those places only because they feature in the Harry Potter films.

American fans of the Harry Potter books and films are very happy. A new theme park, the World of Harry Potter, was opened in 2010 in Florida. Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson have already visited the park. They say they like it very much.

Radcliffe is a fan of punk rock music. His favourite band is The Hold Steady. In November 2007, Radcliffe published several poems under the pen name Jacob Gershon.

He is reported to have earned £1 million for the first Potter film, around £5.6 million for the fourth film, and more than £8 million for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. In 2010, Radcliffe was reported to have personal assets of £28.5 million, making him richer than Princes William and Harry.

Emma Watson's work in the Harry Potter series had earned her more than £10 million. In February 2010 she was named as Hollywood's highest paid female star, having earned an estimated £19 million in 2009.However, she has declined to leave school to become a full-time actress, saying "People can't understand why I don't want to ... but school life keeps me in touch with my friends. It keeps me in touch with reality. Watson interests are dancing, singing, field hockey, tennis, art. She admires fellow actors Johnny Depp and Julia Roberts. She had chosen Brown University, the USA.

Rupert Grint appeared as the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car in Episode Three of Series Fifteen of Top Gear.

Grint starred alongside Bill Nighy and Emily Blunt in Wild Target, a comedy remake of 1993 French film Cible Emouvante.The film opened in the UK on 18 June 2010.On 6 January 2011, Grint made a guest appearance in Come Fly with Me.

This work is useful for children and adults, and those who are interested in films and actors.

to find and summarize the material about some places and actors that are proud to have been seen in the Harry Potter films.
The reasons of choosing the topic there are many fans of the Harry Potter books and films;thanks to these books and films, Britain has got a tourism boom;a new theme park “The World of Harry Potter” was opened in the USA in 2010;to learn the further life of actors Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint. The most recognized face belongs to a young man called Daniel Radcliffe. D. Radcliffe is the actor who plays Harry Potter on film and whose face looks out from a thousand posters across the nation.
Why Are the British Mad about Harry? Firstly, it is easy to believe that Harry’s transition from sad schoolboy to famous wizard is the most natural thing in the worldSecondly, British people always like to take the side of the underdog. Harry is an orphan.Thirdly, the school which Harry is sent to, Hogwarts, has a lot in common with a classic British public school. About the writer – J. K. Rowling The writer says that Harry Potter was born on a long train journey and was originally seen as just a bit of entertainment for the writer’s daughter Jessica.Now, Harry Potter books are so popular all around the world that J. K. Rowling has become one of the richest people in the UK. Films about Harry Potter: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002) Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) Harry Potter and the Goblet of the Fire (2005) Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I (2010) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II (2011) Paradox The film industry in Britain is not so developed as in the USA. The cinema in Britain is often regarded as not quite part of “the arts” at all – it is simply entertainment. For this reason Britain is giving almost no financial help to its film industry. British film directors often have to go to Hollywood to shoot their films. Hollywood helped to shoot films about Harry Potter and gave money. The main film characters Daniel Radcliffe D. Radcliffe was born on Sunday on July, 23, 1989 in the family of Marcia Gresham and Alan Radcliffe. He grew in Fulham, the western district of London. He went to private school for boys. He dreamt about the career of an actor. The London newspaper Sunday Times in 2004 called Daniel Radcliffe the richest English teenager after a prince Harry. Daniel took the real lessons of magic for the English magician. Emma Watson Emma Watson was born on April, 15, 1990, in Paris, where her parents both worked as lawyers. When Emma was five years old, her parents divorced, and Emma, her mother and her younger brother Alex moved back to England. Emma grew up in Oxfordshire but now she lives in London during her university holidays. Interests Emma loves field hockey, tennis, art, dancing and singing. She is also interested in fashion as a form of art. Emma Watson has made millions with the Harry Potter films, but unlike other movie stars she seems a perfectly normal person, a classic good girl, kind, hardworking and intelligent. She travelled a lot. Rupert Grint R. Grint was born in the county of Herefordshire (England) on August, 24, 1988. The role of Ron brought a fame to young actor in the Harry Potter films. He was shot in different films such as Driving Lessons (2006), Cherry bomb (2009) and Wild Target (2010). The places where the famous film were shot British tourist industry – new tourist attractions Thanks to Harry Potter, Britain has got a tourism boost. As Harry Potter movies have been filmed all around Britain, there are now a few places that are proud to have been seen in the Harry Potter films. Alnwick Castle, Northumberland Alnwick Castle is one of the oldest and largest castles in Britain and is proudly called “The Windsor of the North”. It was built in 1309 and it’s still lived in! It has been home of the earls and dukes of Northumberland for 700 years! Durham Cathedral, Durham This 12th-century building is famous not only for its architecture but also for its beautiful setting. In a nationwide pool it was voted the nation’s best-loved building. Lacock Abbey, Wiltshire This wonderful abbey was founded in 1232 and for over 300 hundred years served as a nunnery. When King Henry VIII closed it down during the Reformation, it became a country house. Glenfinnan Viaduct, Scotland The Hogwarts Express train that carries Harry, Ron and Hermione to school each year is filmed in an actual railway line. It was built between 1897 and 1901 and consists of 21 arches, the tallest of which is 30 meters high. Gloucester Cathedral, Gloucester The magnificent cloisters of Gloucester Cathedral were used as the corridors of Hogwarts. Originally built as an abbey in 1089, the cathedral is famous for its splendid fan vaulting (the earliest example of this kind of ceiling in Britain) and its stained glass windows. The Lavatorium is where Harry and Ron hide from a giant troll behind the pillars. Christ Church College, Oxford Built in 1529, the Great Hall hasn’t changed very much since that time. Only the roof had to be reconstructed once – after a fire in the 18th century. The college’s wonderful staircase leading up to the Great Hall was also used in many Hogwarts scenes. The Bodleian Library, Oxford Hogwarts Library is in fact the Bodleian Library, the main library of Oxford University. The Bodleian Library (or the Bod, as Oxford University students call it) has one of the largest collections of books in the world – about 9 million! Many of them are written by hand! The World Of Harry Potter American fans of the Harry Potter books and films are very happy. A new theme park, the World of Harry Potter , was opened in Florida in 2010. Visitors to the park will be able to:walk about Hogsmeade, the magical village near Hogwarts;Discover the mysteries of the Forbidden Forest;Explore Hogwarts Castle (fans know it as the school for witches ands wizards where Harry and his friends learned magic);Ride3 great roller coasters;Try pumpkin juice, real butter bear, chocolate frogs as well as traditional British food;Buy a magic wand at Ollivander’s shop;Buy everything for the game of Quiddich;Send letters to their friends with a Hogsmeade postmark at the Owl Post.Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson have already visited the park.
