“New York” can mean both a state of the USA and a city in this state. We’re going to talk about New York City. New York was found in 1625 as a trading post by Dutch colonists. It was firstly named New Amsterdam. The flag of New York City is derived from the flag of the Dutch Republic.

It was a view from Rockefeller Center. It’s a famous building in New York built by Rockefeller family. It is located between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. Manhattan has a clever system (grid system) of avenues and streets. Streets run from east to west and avenues run north and south. Address usually includes a cross- sreet .
