Методическое пособие для урока английского языка по теме "Англия"

Проект создавался как наглядное  пособие для работы на уроках английского языка. Данное пособие содержит страноведческий материал по теме «Англия» для учащихся, и задания для закрепления пройденного материала.

Цель проекта
Создать наглядное пособие «Англия» для работы на уроках английского языка по теме «Великобритания».
Описание проекта
Проект состоит из двух частей: первая часть включает в себя информацию об оной из стран, входящей в состав Соединенного королевства Великобритании и Северной Ирландии – Англии, а также о столице Англии и всей Великобритании - Лондоне и других городах Англии, их достопримечательностях; вторая часть содержит задания и вопросы для повторения и контроля изученного материала.

This is the map of Great Britain. Great Britain consists of four parts: Anglia, Wells, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The official head of U.K. is Elizabeth II
The U.K. is a constitutional monarchy with a parliament and the Queen as Head of State.
About London
London is the capital of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It is situated on the both banks of the river Thames. The city is very old, is more than 20 centuries. Its population is nearly 9 million people. London has many beautiful and interesting places.
Westminster Abbey is the aristocratic, official part of London. It’s very attractive for tourists because it has historical places full of customs and traditions. Westminster Abbey is very beautiful church, which is more than 900 years old. Nearly all the kings and queens were crowned and buried there. Many famous people of this country were buried in the Abbey.

Buckingham Palace
The official residence of the Queen of England is Buckingham Palace. The changing of the guard before Buckingham Palace several times a day is watched by hundreds of people.
“ Big Ben” is the name of great bell which strikes the hour. It is in the Clock Tower of the Houses of Parliament.

Piccadilly Circus
Piccadilly Circus is a square in the central part of London. London’s best-known theatres and cinemas and most famous restaurants are on Piccadilly Circus. In the square you can see people of many nationalities and hear a lot of different languages.

In the centre of the square there is a statue of Admiral Nelson who had to fight the French at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805.

London is situated on the river Thames about forty miles from its mouth. It is divided into two parts by the river.
Sherlok Holmes's house was build in 1815. The British government was declare, that the building is an architectural and historical monument of 2-nd category.

Stonehenge
Huge construction a Stonehenge - a stone riddle in the center of Europe. It was name one of researchers doctor Umlmor Trever. As a whole the Stonehenge represents a construction from 82 five-ton stones, 30 stone blocks, weight on 25 tons and 5 huge stones, stones which weight reaches 50 tons.

Manchester is a big industry and business city in England. The trading and business area of Manchester - "city" is borrowed with 4-5-floor buildings branches of banks, offices of insurance, industrial and other companies. Industrial areas of Manchester are concentrated also at moorings of port and along railways.

York was the large economic center of Northern England, the second on the importance in the country, conceding only to London. Now York causes huge interest in the tourists coming to the Great Britain. The main sight of York - the Cathedral. erected on a place of Christian church. A cathedral built more than four centuries that has caused mixture of various styles. Special interest is represented with walk on an old city wall. Here four city gate were kept.

The city is known since XII century, the truth of ancient buildings was kept a little. The largest port of the Great Britain (the second after London), from here were sent once the ships with immigrants in New Light (the exposition tells about it in the Sea museum Merseyside), serves all Great Britain on import of a cotton, grain, a wool, rubber, possesses huge floating docks.

There are many institutes and universities in England. But the main of them are Cambridge and Oxford
Cambridge is located in 70 km to the north from London. On an extent here already more than 7 centuries it is Mecca for students. The population of city makes 110 thousand people from which 20 thousand are students.

Oxford has 170000 inhabitants. In 10th century in Salerno, Pavia, Bologna, Paris there were universities - places of people with inquisitive wits. There studied the right, Latin, philosophy, medicine, mathematics. In England universities appeared later. In 1133 university have been created with the purpose to educate clerics fuller education.

Проект создавался как наглядное пособие для работы на уроках английского языка. В процессе работы мы добились желаемого, получив пособие, содержащее страноведческий материал по теме «Англия» для учащихся, и задания для закрепления пройденного материала.
Такого рода проекты повышают интерес к изучению английского языка путем организации самостоятельной творческой работы, помогают совершенствовать навыки использования английской речи; учат использовать компьютерные технологии при выполнении творческих работ.
