Admiralty. Admiralty’s shipbuilding vertes were founded by Peter I on the left bank of Neva River in autumn 1704. Admiralty is decorated with sculptures, which are connected with sea legends. Admiralty includes skulpture’s composition “ Nimfes , carring the Earth”. Admiralty is one of the best and most beautifull monuments of early classicizm in St. Peterburg .

Medny Vsadnik For the 300 anniversary of St. Petersburg many monuments honouring Peter I were built there . One of them is Medny Vsadnik . It was built by Et’en F al’kone . This monument is the simbol of the Petersberg and world culture.

Mosque It was build with big blue dome and two minarets . It is build of C afidral Mosque. It was build in 1910. It is one of the biggest buildings in Europe. People attend it on hokidays . Nowadays it is a religious and cultural center.

Peter-Paul’s Cathedral It is situated in the centre of the city. On the 16 th of May, 1703 Peter I build new fort on the Zayachy Island. At first, fort was made of wood, but now it is the stone building . One of the most famous buldings in the castle is Peter-Paul’s Cathedral. It was build in 1713. It is decorated with gold shpil (122, 5 m) , with a figure of flying angel. It became the symbol of the city.

o Spas- na - K rovi . One of the most beautiful churches in St.Petersburg is Spas- na - krovi , It was built on the place , where Alexander II was killed . Alexander III was asked by people to build memorial building in honour of the Tsar.

Nikol’sky Cathedral Chevakinsky was an architecture of this cathedral. It lasted from 1753 to 1762 . Nowadays it keeps memorial traditions .

Kazan Cathedral It was built on the 27 th of August, 1801. I t lasted for 10 years. In 1811 it was opened for the citizens. The height of Kazan Cathedral is about 71,5 metres . It is decorated By huge columns – about 300 tons each.

Mihailovsky Castle. This palace was built in 1797 – 1801, by Pavel I. He wanted it to became his residence in Petersburg . Architectures of the castle are Brehn and Bazenov . They made it in the middle-aged traditions. Nowadays Mihailovsky Castle is a gallery .
