Introduction Ancient Rome was a civilization that grew out of a small agricultural community founded on the Italian Peninsula as early as the 10th century BC. It became one of the largest empires in the ancient world.

Inventions Ancient Roman inventions abound and many are still in use today Alphabet and numerals The Roman alphabet is what most of us still use today in the western world. Their numerals are not any longer in every day use. It is Arabic numbers we use today. But for inscriptions on public buildings and some other things Roman numerals are still sometimes used.

The ancient Romans were great builders. Their advances in technology include the actual invention of concrete, Roman roads, Roman arches, and aqueducts.

Religion Roman religion was centred around gods and explanations for events usually involved the gods in some way or another. The Romans believed that gods controlled their lives and, as a result, spent a great deal of their time worshipping them. The most important god was Jupiter. He was the king of gods who ruled with his wife Juno, the goddess of the sky. Other gods were: Mars God of War Mercury The messenger of the gods Nepture God of the Sea Janus God of the Doorway Diana Goddess of Hunting Vesta Goddess of the Hearth Minerva Goddess of Healing and Wisdom Venus Goddess of Love

The Ancient Rome is one of the leadest civilisations and the greatest state of the world. it`s took its name from the founder - Romulus. The official language of the Rome was latin . It was found in 27 BC.
