To be successful means…

        Contemporary world is different and complicated. It claims us to be successful. But what does it mean “to be successful”? The simplest view is to take of life the more the better. As there are a lot of possibilities it results that the one who can take a lot considers being successful in relations, career, finance, etc.

        But I think it’s not that simple. For me success means spiritual development. If a person rates only material values he won’t be a real personality. To know something about life one should deal with self-knowledge, self-development; be interested in art, literature etc.

        It’s necessary to get a good education as well. Being sure you really know something is a real success.

        Having a good career is a dream of many people. But the objectives are different. One wants to have a good salary but hates his job; another likes his job even if it is not well paid. I think doing my thing is a success.

        Being successful also means being self-confident. If you have self-confidence you can overcome all difficulties.

         Having a family and children is a part of a real success, too. If you bring up real personalities it’s your success as a parent. And if you’re a personality it’s your parents’ success.

        To meet true friends is a success. To be a true friend is a double success.

To sum everything up, it must be said that our life is not just a routine. It’s unique. Let’s live a real life and we will be able to agree with Christopher Morley “There is only one success - to be able to spend your life in your own way”.
