Traditions and holidays We know some of the Russian traditions and holidays . We remember New Year , Easter , Maslenitsa and many other holidays .

Maslenitsa People celebrate it at the end of February or at the beginning of March . In old times people cooked pancakes , sang songs , danced and burnt straw figures of winter. Maslenitsa is the holiday to say goodbye to winter.

New Year New Year is one of our favourite holidays. The 1st of January is a winter holiday and now it is the first day of the New Year.

Christmas tree People buy and bring home a beautiful Christmas tree at the end of December and put their presents under the Christmas tree .
