Agatha Christie was born in 1890 in Torquay. And died in 1976. She was a great writer of the twentieth century.
Residence of Agatha Christie Agatha Christie was born in the south of England in Torquay, Devon.
Getting Started In 1920, Christie published her first crime novel, "The Mysterious Affair at Styles", which had previously been rejected five times by British publishers. Soon she has a whole series of works that have a Belgian detective Hercule Poirot: 68 novels and 54 short stories. Agatha Christie became famous in 1926, after her disappearance.
Direct work of Agatha Christie During the First World War, Christie worked in the hospital, then - in the pharmacy. She also worked as a nurse, but her main occupation was writing books.
How many books written by Agatha Christie Christy has published more than 60 detective novels, six psychological novels (under the pseudonym Mary Westmacott or Vestmakott) and 19 collections of short stories. 16 of its plays were staged in London.

Mark Twain was born on the 30th of November in 1835. Lived in the state of Missouri on the banks of the Mississippi.
The house where Mark Twain spent his childhood and teenage years. Now it is a museum.
Mark Twain Monument to Mark Twain as the navigator ship in Hannibal, Missouri. In 1859 Twain received a license to operate the navigator ship, sailed before 3200 km on the Mississippi.
