Dear Tom,

Thanks for your letter. Soon we are celerating the seventieth anniversary of the victory in the second World War. And I want you to know that I have relatives who participated in that war. I don’t know much about them, but something is better than nothing, isn’t it?

So my great-grandfather went to the front at the age of thirty three. He fought   with the German troops. He reached Prague, where he received a wound in the battle of the thigh. He was sent to the hospital. When he returned home, he was awarded the prize for the liberation of Prague from the fascists. Later he died from complication of wound.

Do you have any relatives who participated in the wars? Are they alive? Do they have any awards?

I’m proud of my great-grandfather, because he freed the city.
