Vasily Livanov is a famous Russian actor. His birthday is on the 19 th of July 1935. His grandfather and father were the actors at the theatre. VASILY LIVANOV

He is very famous for Sherlock Holmes’ part in the “Adventures of Sherlock Holmes” after Arthur Conan Doyle . In 2006 he got The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire ( Орден Британской импе - рии ) for this part .

In 1988 Vasily Livanov got the award of national Russian actor for his work. In 2000 Livanov and Vitaly Solomin were the voices of a detective and Dr. Watson in the computer game “Sherlock Holmes. Moriarti comes back”. In 2003 Livanov was the pirate Foor in “Fort Boyard ” TV game. There is a sculpture of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson near the British embassy .
