December 25 - Christmas On this day, they decorate the Christmas tree , give gifts , sing carols . And if it is snowing - make snowmen . The traditional Christmas dinner consists of a whole roasted turkey with fried potatoes , vegetables .

March 17 - St. Patrick's Day (St Patrick's Day) - the national holiday of Ireland. In the UK, this day is marked by festivities in many cities , including Birmingham, Nottingham , Manchester and London and Belfast . Crowds of people take to the streets , wearing green clothes and decked herself with her three-sheeted clover symbol which was believed to bring good luck .

Guy Fawkes Day and his Bonfire Night - This is one of the noisiest festivals in England. It is celebrated every year on November 5 but if that day falls on a Sunday , the holiday is transferred to the day before. It is dedicated to a single historical event occurring November 5, 1605 , where the attacker was a planned conspiracy against King James I and the members of Parliament .
