introduction Language directly reflects contemporary life and culture. Technology is developing and language too. We expand it with new words and definitions, so Today it ha s a different image than it had yesterday. Nowadays we often use English words to express our minds but sometimes it goes too far. Russian is a rich and beautiful language but why do people replace it with English? So lets figure out when using anglicisms is necessary and when it is not.

Reasons for borrowing There are such words as timer , online , disk , etc . which do not have replacements in Russian. Sometimes anglicisms help to fully convey the meaning of statements as Export, marketing, briefing . Time is running and we need to give a name to new inventions using English words like taxi, computer, notebook . We meet them not only in mass media but also in physics , sport , business , technology and our everyday routine.

Types of word building English words with little changes like : Russian particle , prefix or suffix ( кликать – from click) Some words fully retain their form as weekend some of them composing from two English words like second-hand for example . Foreign particles like wow, ok .

Surveys prove that Russian teenagers like to use anglicisms because they are modern , easy, distinct and exact. Young people definitely like this innovation. What about adults? According to interviews I can say that they mostly do not like anglicisms . how often do you use anglicisms ? Population attitude

C onclusion GOOD : When it is irreplaceable When it conveys accurately the main point of notion When it is specialized definition Now humanity evolves and we need more language opportunities to make life easier and more comfortable so anglicism is : BAD : When you can replace it with R ussian word When the word has not precise meaning When you do not know what this word means Our modern language cannot exist without anglesisms , but we shouldn’t overuse them.
