Hello, my name is Superyak Egor.

The theme of my diploma project is «The analysis of a time between failures and methods of increase in the wells equipped electrical submersible pumping units  in Joint Stock Company Samotlorneftegaz».

During the operation I considered the principle of operation and the ESP device, and also analyzed its time between failures, basic reasons of failures, and methods of increase time between failures.

Installation of ESP unit consists of the submersible pump, the cable line lowered in a well on pumping and compressor pipes, and land electric equipment (transformer substation).

The scheme of ESP unit:

1 –  wellhead equipment

2 – point portable;

3 – transformer;

4 – decline valve;

5 – – float valve;

6 –  module-head;

7 –  electric cable;

8 – electrical centrifugal pump;

9 – gas separator  module pump;

10 –  protector;

11 – submersible electric motor;

12 – system thermomanometrical.

Basic reasons of a failure are:

Leakage of tubing,

contaminations,

salts.

Also there is point - the reason isn't set

The dynamic of ESP on groups of execution is

-  in 2011 group prevailed in a percentage ratio,

- in 2012-2013 its percentage ratio started to decrease, and the percent of ESP by 3 groups of execution started to increase.

On this slide we can see Slim-line ESP by company Novomet.

Applications:

operation in wells with technical limitations due to:

  • drift diameter
  • after workover
  • displacement of casing
  • exploration wells
  • horizontal wells
  • side tracks
  • application with Y-tool for casing less than 5 in.
  • multi-zone production

  

Advantages:

  • Increasing production from wells with small ID less than 3.9 in
  • Increasing production due to multi-zone operation
  • Production from wells when a slim ESP is a single solution: side track wells
  • All are of «Power Save» design having the best efficiency possible for such small diameters

Disadvantages:

  • Available in two series: 272 and 319
  • Asynchronous motor cannot be used due to low efficiency and long length.
  • Special type of connection between motor and protector
  • For gassy applications multi-phase pumps of 272 series are available
  • Down hole sensor system is of 319 series

I offer implementation of ESP units in a small dimension 3 and 2A for increase oil production on the deposits which have entered a late stage of development and productivity of the low rate wells.  

Tasks:

Rise of a gas-liquid compound from extracting wells with technical restrictions by the size of the submersible equipment.

• Implementation of the bypass diagram

• Maintenance of side trunks of extracting wells

• Features of development

• Unique equipment for operational strings with diameter114 mm.

The composition and complete set of small-size submersible installation are similar to installations produced in lots.

The main advantages of ESP 3 and 2A overall dimensions are:

• Oil recovery increase by the equipment descent directly in side trunks and thereby, increases depression on the formation.

• Output of wells from an idling well fund.

• Operations in deviation sections from a vertical to 90 degrees.

• Possibility of the organization of bypass system, maintenance of several formations, operations in the wells with technical restrictions by the equipment size (with min diameter 100мм).

Nowadays the course of the JSC SNG is directed to increase in a time between failures that is connected first of all to an economic profit, because the more a time between failures means the more production receives the enterprise.
