Air and nuclear pollution Nuclear power stations cause nuclear pollution. The ozone layer is becoming thinner. Factories and plants put harmful substances into air. Big cities suffer from smog.

Water pollution Many seas are used for dumping industrial and nuclear waste. This poisons and kills fish and sea animals. Many rivers and lakes are poisoned too. Fish and reptiles can not live in them. There is not enough oxygen in the water. In such places all the birds leave their habitats and many plants die. Factories and plants produce a lot of waste and pour it into rivers.
