The lack of vitamins can be very dangerous. People should consume a lot of vitamins with food. One of the most important vitamins in autumn and winter is vitamin C

Experimental part Mix juices of various brands with starch paste. Add iodine drops until it becomes colored. If there is much vitamin C in the juice it will get violet the latest. As soon as iodine oxidizes all the vitamin C next drop will colour starch in blue. It is a quality reaction to starch

The results 1. The concentration of vitamin C in freshly squeezed juices is more than twice higher than in packed ones. Manufacturers add sugar and preservatives for conservation 2. Manufacturers indicate the composition ot the juice on the package 3. Quality of the juice depends on its price 4. Juices are popular among 7 year students but they do not pay attention to the product composition

Conclusions 1. Benefits of juices are well studied by people. All the necessary information can be found in the internet or on the packet of juice 2. There are 7 main groups of vitamins. Every vitamin affects the human organism in its own way 3. 7 year students prefer fruits to juices. Main criteria in choosing juices are taste and price of the product 4. Vitamin C is in both freshly squeezed and packed juices. The information of the concentration of vitamin C can be found on the package of the product. The better juice the more its price 5. Due to the results of the study we have proved the hypothesis that the largest amount of vitamin C is contained in freshly squeezed orange juice

Recommendations in choosing the juice 1 . If you have a choice in eating a fruit or having a drink do not hesitate a minute – choose the first. Fruits are not only healthy the can also satisfy hunger. 2. If there is no possibility of having fresh juice choose that which has less sugar 3. Do not choose sweetened or acidified juices 4. Always be careful with the compound. The more it has preservatives the more it is harmful 5. If you are simply thirsty just have some mineral water 6. It is healthier to eat fruits or drink juice an hour before or after the meal
