“We Love, Remember, Proud of!”
The Victory Day of 1945! What does it mean for us, children of the 21st century? What do we know about the war, about the dead soldiers, siege of Leningrad, workers in the rear, children of the war?There is no family in our country which didn’t lose somebody in this awful war. Some of my ancestors also took part in the Great Patriotic War of 1945, and I’m proud of my great grandfather Kinykin Ilja Efimovich.He was born on the 2nd of August 1912 in the village Zarubkino, Mordovia. He worked in the local collective farm as a tractor-driver. He has a wife, 3 children. He went to defend them in 1941. He passed through the war, reached Berlin in 1945 and returned home. He was not thinking about the fame. He protected our country, house, mother, wife and children. After the war he continued working in the collective farm, brought up his children. My grandpa told me a lot about his father. That’s why, Victory Day is one of the most important holidays in my family too. Nastya Arshinova, Grade 7

То было в страшном 41-омТо было в страшном 41-омСтояла лютая зима.Она была одета в белом,Под стать зиме была она.Шла молча тихою походкой,Плыла, как лебедь, не спеша.Ничто не выдавало болиТой, что запрятала душа.Она в руках письмо держала,Письмо от сына-морякаИ от мороза не дрожала,Дрожали руки лишь слегка.Письмо на месяц задержалось,И вот сегодня лишь пришло.Сын пишет ей, что все нормально,Что у него все хорошо.Глаза ее неслись по строчкам,Как будто конь во весь опор,Но слов она не понимала,Ей все казалось – это сон.Ведь лишь вчера пришло к ней горе…Оно ужаснее всего,Ведь ей вручили орден сынаИ похоронку на него…Ну, а теперь воспоминаньяПереносили в мир иной,Ей с сыном было так спокойно,Он рядом с ней был там – живой.Он протянул ей обе рукиИ крикнул: «Мама, не хочу!»А мать в ответ ему кричала:«Сынок, не бойся, я приду!»То было в страшном 41-ом,Стояла лютая зима.Вблизи раздался взрыв снаряда,И сына унесла война.
Nargiz Ismailova, the Former Pupil of Novo-Vyselskaya School. We are proud of her. She graduated from secondary school with a Silver Medal, then she learned at Academy and now she is a teacher at a High School in Moscow. Nargiz is not only a good student, she also writes poems, plays the guitar, dances. She speaks English, German and French Here you can read one of her poems about the war in Russian
