This year we celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory in the Second World War. This holiday is a holiday with tears in eyes, as nearly each family in Russia has a heroic relative who has given his life for the Peace in our World .

My great-grandfather is Falushin Semen Leontievich . He was too young when he became a soldier, about 17 years old. My great-grand father was a tanker. His rank was a lance-corporal. He served in the 47th spare tank regiment, which had been formed in September of 1944 in the town of Chuguev . He was fighting near the city of Ryazan, where he was wounded by shrapnel in 1945. …..

Unfortunately, my great-grandfather hadn’t any documents which proved that he took part in the Second World War. Only my great-grandmother was a witness of his heroic actions. And she liked to tell us the story about her and my great-grandfather heroic youth. She repeated that the period of the WAR was very difficult and horrible .

I’m proud of my heroic great-grandfather. Who showed himself as dedicated to the Motherland and a brave defender of our country. Thanks to my great-grandparents’ generation now we have the peaceful and happy present and the Future!
