A story "The Boy and the Sea"

THE BOY AND THE SEA

Charlie watched the dark clouds anxiously, wondering when the storm would start. Suddenly, a loud thunder stunned the fourteen-уear-old boy. Actually, he wasn't afraid of the storm. The only thing Charlie was worried about was coming home without fish for the family. Soon almost the whole sky was covered with dark blue clouds. The wind was getting stronger. It was time to go back to the beach.

A few moments later, a phone booth could be seen with the naked eye. Although the safety was so close, every movement hurt because of strong wind and waves. All of a sudden, the big wave turned Charlie's boat upside down. The boy fell and fainted.

Charlie opened his eyes. The first thing he saw was an old man looking at him. The man started speaking, turning to Charlie. However, the boy did not understand what was going on. Only the sound of the waves made him think that there was a sea nearby. ‘How are you feeling, boy?’ the man asked softly.

Eventually, Charlie found out, that the man was a local fisherman, who had saved his life.
