My translation I decided to translate an 8-line poem by Asadov called “ Вор в магазин в полночный час забрался… ” ( Vor v magazin v polnochny chas zabralsya …). I tried to translate the poem with a challenge to retain as much meaning as possible while also having to make every few lines rhyme with each other.
