LONDON PASS
COMBINATION TICKETS
OFFERS of BRITISH TOURIST AUTHORITY

Both the Travel card and Oyster Card substantially cover the same public transport services detailed below.
The subtle differences are that there are some suburban railway lines whose ticketing systems are not compatible with Oyster.
On London's river scheduled river services you can obtain discounts using Oyster and Travel card. At the moment different operators offer different benefits.
Bus Pusses,
When in London and travelling by bus, a commuter will require a bus pass. These passes which are provided on a weekly and monthly basis are ideal for unlimited travel in the city of London. The most popular among tourist are:
The London Underground. The Underground system is also colloquially called the Tube. As commonly used today both by Londoners and in most official publicity, this term embraces the entire system.
The Underground serves 270 stations and has 402 kilometers. It is the second largest metro system in the world in terms of route miles, after the Shanghai Metro. It also has one of the largest numbers of stations. In 2007, more than one billion passenger journeys were recorded, making it the third busiest metro system in Europe, after Moscow and Paris. The tube is an international icon for London, with the tube map, considered a design classic, having influenced many other transport maps worldwide.
Currently, 86% of operational expenditure on the London Underground is covered by passenger fares. Almost all London Underground trains currently lack air-conditioning, which leads to the network getting very hot in the summer, although plans are under way to mitigate this problem with new air-conditioned trains and other schemes. Because of engineering work being carried out under the 2010-12 upgrade plan, lines were regularly closed during weekends.
The London Black Cab, which has earned the reputation for providing the best taxi service in the world. "River bus" services on the River Thames. The River Thames is navigable to ocean-going vessels as far as London Bridge, and to substantial craft well upstream of Greater London. Historically, the river was one of London's main transport arteries. Although this is no longer the case, passenger services have seen something of a revival since the creation in 1999 of London River Services, an arm of Transport for London. LRS now regulates and promotes a small-scale network of river bus commuter services and a large number of leisure cruises operating on the river. Boats are owned and operated by a number of private companies, and LRS manages five of central London's 22 piers.
"Water bus" on the Regent's Canal. London also has several canals, including the Regent's Canal, which links the Thames to the Grand Union Canal and thus to the waterway network across much of England. These canals were originally built in the Industrial Revolution for the transport of coal, raw materials and foods. Although they now carry few goods, they are popular with private narrow boat users and leisure cruisers, and a regular "water bus" service operates along the Regent's Canal during the summer month.
And of course Iconic sights in London are the red double-decker busses which roam the streets filled with commuters and tourists in search of destinations and attractions. Managed by a company called TfL (Transport for London), these red icons, are not only convenient for 5
commuting but also, present a stylish way to explore the greatness that is London. Among them Night Busses, which have their bus signs marked with an “N”, and operate from 11:30pm to 6:00am, during which the underground services are inactive.
But if you like sport, in this case the cheapest ways of course are: cycling and go for a walk. Ride a bike is much cheaper and often quicker way around town than those travelling by public transport or car.
Walking and looking can be an unforgettable experience for you, like Samuel Johnson said, "When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life, for there is in London all that life can afford."
The purpose of this paper was to find the cheapest way of travelling around London with pleasure and stress free. We analyzed public transport, transport pusses, ways of go sighting. Based on the research, we can speak our mind. There are a number of conclusions that can be made.
First of all, before your trip in London book your tickets for three month.
Secondly, use all special offers of British Tourist Authority.
Thirdly, remember about all benefit from the London Pass and Combination tickets.
Don’t forget about free entry in some of the most beautiful Museums and Gallaries.
Use of Oyster, bus pusses, travel card, visitor cards in public transport.
The last remember that the cheapest ways of traveling are: cycling and go for a walk.
To conclude, I would like to say that your traveling around London will be unforgettable if you take all my advice.
