Проектная работа по теме «Healthy Body, Healthy Mind»  выполнена обучающимися 10 класса.

Цель проекта:

  • Развивать интерес к изучению английского языка путём актуализации и получения новых  знаний учащихся о здоровом питании.
  • Показать важность  проблемы рационального питания для сохранения здоровья и  активной деятельности подростков.
  • Развивать личностные и метапредметные  УУД обучающихся.

Задачи проекта:

  • выработка сознательного личностного отношения к проблемам здоровья;
  • воспитание активной жизненной позиции и ответственного отношения к своему здоровью;
  • формирование умения, кратко излагать полученные результаты исследований на  английском языке, обрабатывать и обобщать полученную  информацию;
  • использование полученных знаний на уроках английского языка по теме «Еда».

LIVE HEALTHY AND BE HAPPY ! The aim of the project is: to show the role of food in our life; to show the importance of healthy foods for teenagers.

Eat to live or live to eat??? In today’s world we have very large variety of food, which can be healthy or unhealthy. How to get slim and stay slim? This question is very urgent nowadays for many people, who are not satisfied with their weight or body shape. However, everyone likes to eat, but not everyone thinks about what he eats. We prefer eating fast food to home cooking. We know that McDonald’s harms the public's health by selling unhealthy food, but all the same - we eat it. Basically, all our problems come from lack of time. We have no time, therefore we don’t care about our health and gain in weight.

Meals play an important role in human life because they contain necessary ingredients for our life activity such as dioxides, fats, minerals and vitamins. They are contained in fish, vegetables, fruits, meat and other foods .

To be healthy we should eat 3 times a day. For lunch we usually eat biscuits, toasts, sandwiches, cheese and drink coffee or tea with cream and sugar accordingly to our taste . For dinner we eat some soup, salad and fowl, fish or meat with garnish.

Many people have to eat out of home in restaurants or in cafes . In such places you can order French fries, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, crisps, pizza and many others, but these meals are very harmful for our health. There are people who like salty and spicy or sweet food.

Nowadays a lot of people believe that only healthy food must be eaten. They don't eat spaghetti, chops, sausages, grilled meat fish, fowl. They prefer to eat boiled and stewed vegetables such as cabbage, cauliflower, egg-plants, carrots. They certainly eat meat and fish but only boiled.

Also there are people who don't eat meat or fowl at all. They are vegetarians. But it isn't good, because in fish and in meat there are some ingredients without which our health wont be strong.

Dieticians suggest that teenagers should eat only healthy food. For example: Red foods get us moving. They give us that extra boost when we really need it the most. Red foods protect us from many serious illnesses.

Orange foods are brain food. They help you keep your mind on things and really improve your powers of concentration. Foods like oranges, peaches, mangoes have a lot of vitamin C. It helps us fight of infections.

Yellow foods are nature’s way of helping us to stay happy. They make us more optimistic. Enjoying yellow foods is better for people, emotionally, than hearing the best jokes in the world.

Green foods are great when we want to relax, calm ourselves down or keep our emotions under control. Green foods are good for us because they contain vitamins and minerals that keep our teeth and bones strong and healthy .

The best thing at night time is something blue. Blue foods are soothing, both emotionally and physically, and prepare us for a good night's rest. Purple foods make people more creative. If that isn’t a good enough reason to eat them, and then think about this … purple foods can keep you looking young!

Remember ! * If you don’t have breakfast, you won’t be able to concentrate. * We advice you against eating too much sugar. * Eating too much junk food can result in health problems later in life. * If you get enough vitamins, you will stay healthy.

Not all food is junk, though. To stay healthy, we need to eat natural and balanced diet containing foods from all the nutrient groups – carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins and minerals in the right proportions. Also, we don’t have to forget about the physical exercises. Sport helps people to keep in good health and burns excess calories. Finally we would like to say, that we live not to eat, but eat to live. Just think about what you eat…

C Lemon, orange, broccoli. is good for our bones and teeth. D Milk, eggs, cheese, butter. helps our bones to grow properly. E Beans, broccoli, cauliflower. keeps our skin healthy.

Minerals Foods Benefits Iron Meat, eggs, greenery, broccoli. maintains healthy blood cells. Calcium Milk, cheese, yoghurt. promotes grown of healthy bones and teeth. Potassium Bananas, meat. is good for our muscles and nerves. Sodium Prawns, lobster, cheese. helps to keep the right amount of water in our bodies. Zinc Fungi, eggs, meat. helps our bodies process carbon dioxine.
