ХОД УРОКА

1. Good morning, dear friends! I’m glad to see you at the lesson! My name’s Morozova A.S. And just today I’ll be your English teacher. How are you today? Are you OK?  What a lovely day is it today, isn’t it? Let’s our lesson begin. But now let’s smile to each other and say ”Hello” to your face partner, say “Hello” to your shoulder partner. I wish you to be active, creative and don’t forget about good mood during the lesson.

 Oh, did you notice what I had with me? What is it? Who can guess about the theme of our lesson? Oh, just a second I’ve got another prompt. I’m reading the riddle about this, listen to me very attentively: “I can be thin or thick. I have a lot of pieces of paper. I usually have pictures too. I’ll help you to know something new. Who am I? You are right, well-done! But it’s not all. You must guess once more word to complete the theme. Look at me, please, what am I doing? Can you describe my actions? That’s right. You are perfect! And now we’ve got the whole theme! Pasha, read it, please! We shall discuss many important problems connected with our topic. Today we shall go to the conference where you exchange your opinions about different books, develop your skills in descriptions of them. But before it, let's do some exercises. Books are very important in our life. Nowadays it's almost impossible to imagine our life without books. Do you agree that books are our helpers? How do they help us?(слайд). I enjoy reading, and you?

2. Look  at  the   blackboard. You can see some types of books, these words  are divided into different parts. You should join them together and tell me the right answers.

     And now I’ll show you the books and you have to guess about their genres. What genre does this book have?

 Well done.

3.  I’ve read so many books and I’m confused with all these kinds of books. Help me, please to solve the problem. Look at the blackboard and try to find mistakes in the definitions.

5. Let’s do another exercise. Do you like to do puzzles? I’ll give you some lists of paper. Find please the titles of books in the table. Look at the book's covers.  You’ve just several seconds. Time’s up. Who’s ready to answer?  Misha, will you, please?

1) Little prince, 2) Cinderella, 3) Robin Hood, 4) Three bears, 5) Gulliver, 6) Peter pen.

5.  So, your next task is to match the posters with the stories of the book. You have just 30 sec.  And now describe the 1st picture, please?

7. This is my favorite book. It’s so wonderful and interesting! I love the main character of it. His name is Harry Porter. He is very smart and curious. Misha, and what your favorite book is? Masha, what’s your favorite author of books? What kind of books do you prefer, Bob? Thank you for your answers.

  And now your task is to make the description of the book using this plan. For that listen to the text about the book what I like. Do you remember what its name is? OK. You are right! You may make some notices during the listening in your sheets of paper... Let’s start the tale.

Thank you. Well done! As you see it’s very simple to make a description of the book. That’s why your home task is to make the description of the book which is the best for you using this plan.

8. Let’s work in groups. You have to divide into 5 groups. Each group must prepare an answer to one question which consists of 5 or 6 sentences. After that you’ll have the whole monologue topic “The role of books in our life”

Now you can describe any book you want and share your opinions with your friends. So do you like our lesson? What is the role of the book in our modern life? How many genres do you know? What are they? Why people must read? Thank you for the lesson. I’ve led it with a very big pleasure. And I hope you’ve liked it too. Everyone I want to give the excellent mark. You’ve deserved it.
