Did you know that...

English grammar is easy because there are only two tenses: the Present Simple which deals with present truth and the Past Simple which deals with past truth. Every time we choose to use an -ing verb form we are dealing with the idea of temporary time. Every time we choose to use a perfect verb form we are dealing with the idea of "before". There is, of course, no future tense but there many ways to speak about future time.
