Remember that you will not have more than 2 minutes for reading aloud. Recycling is a technology that helps protect the environment and cut down on usage of raw materials. The steel, paper and glass industries recycle a lot. The largest recycler is the steel industry. It recovers more than 70 per cent of its original materials. For example, since 1988 they have produced the majority of new metal cans from old ones. Metal parts for cars and planes are other examples of recycling steel. Fragments of waste glass are widely used in construction. For producing writing paper and pens, used packing boxes are an ideal material. They are cheap and easy to recycle. Nowadays more and more recycling centres are appearing in our towns and cities.

Лекция № 1

  1. Глагол – нужно поставить в любое подходящее по смыслу время активного или пассивного залога.
  2. Существительное – нужно поставить во множественное число (особое внимание уделить особым случаям и исключениям:
  • если сущ. заканчивается на x, ss, s, ch,sh  то мы к слову добавляем es;  
  • если сущ. заканчивается на f или fe, то мы меняем f на v и добавляем es, например: leaf- leaves;
  • если сущ. заканчивается на о, то мы добавляем es:  potato-potatoes, НО: photos,pianos;
  • если сущ. заканчивается на у и перед ней идет согласная, то мы у меняем на i и добавляем es: university – universities, city – cities, country – countries, lady – ladies, baby – babies и т.д.)
  • если сущ. заканчивается на у и перед ней идет гласная, то мы ничего не меняем и прибавляем s: joy-joys, boy – boys;

  1. Прилагательные – нужно поставить в нужную степень сравнения (особое внимание уделить частным случаям и исключениям:

Как узнать какая степень сравнения в предложении:

- если перед пробелом __________ стоит the, то надо ставить превосходную степень

- если перед пробелом __________ стоит much, то надо ставить сравнительную степень

- если после пробела __________ стоит than, то надо ставить сравнительную степень

Сложные прилагательные: в сравнительной more перед словом, а в превосходной the most: pleasant – more pleasant – the most pleasant

  1. Числительные – нужно из количественных перевести в порядковые:

  1. После выражения I wish будет идти глагол в Past Simple
  2. Can может меняться только на could; если в задании стоит not/can, то в ответе может быть либо can’t либо couldn’t в зависимости от времени в предложении(not/must – меняется только на mustn’t)
  3. После выражения It takes или It took будет идти личное местоимение во всех остальных падежах: It took him 2 hours to get there – Ему потребовалось 2 часа, чтобы добраться туда.
  4. Условные предложения:

1 тип: в ПРИДАТОЧНОМ после if (или when в значении при каком условии) будет идти Present Simple (V1 или Vs, либо am/ Is/ are), а в ГЛАВНОМ будет Future Simple (will V1)

2 тип: в ПРИДАТОЧНОМ после if (или when в значении при каком условии) будет идти Past Simple (V2 или Ved, либо was/were), а в ГЛАВНОМ будет Future in the Past (would V1)

  1. Если в предложении в качестве подлежащего стоят такие слова как: someone, somebody, anyone, anything, nobody, nothing, no one, everybody, everything  то они согласуются с глаголом в 3 лице ед. числа, а значит будет либо is, либо was, либо Vs.
  2. Отрицательные предложения:

  1. Глагол BE и что с ним можно сделать:

Форма глагола BE в любом времени зависит от подлежащего (обычно оно стоит перед глаголом be)

  1. Если в предложении есть слова while (в то время как) и when (когда), то в предложении будет Past Progressive (was/were + V ing)
