Astrakhan is one of the oldest cities in the Lower Volga. It is the heart of the Astrakhan region which is known as the capital of fish area, is famous for its hot temperature and plenty of vegetables.

Astrakhan prides itself on preserving its ancient Kremlin which is one of the most remarkable places of interests in our town .

Churches and monasteries are valuable symbols of old Russian culture and catch the eye with such particular details as spires and onion domes.

Some of them have become ruined by time and really have to be renovated. But local authorities usually lack funds and it restricts the possibilities for developing the town.

The situation could be saved by making a town a tourist destination, as tourism could provide good profits for a tourist industry, especially at the height of summer holidays.
