Nowadays television is an important part of our life. People like to watch TV, listen to music, go to the cinema and use the Internet. It’s a very interesting and educational. People prefer watching current news, films, sports, serials, detectives, music broadcast and so on . Unfortunately, modern television shows a lot of cruelty and violence. Such programmes spoil the children.

As for me, I like to watch TV, but I usually spend a little time in front of the screen . I prefer reading books and listen to music than watching television. So, I like feature films and horrors, like « Requiem for a Dream » , « Mr . Nobody », « Sleepy Hollow » . Also, I watch TV serials, for example, « Smallville». I have a favorite cartoon, like « Adventure Time » .

But, I can’t stand Russian news, because they show a lot of bad news, cruelty and violence. Also, I hate commercials, because, when I watch an interesting film , c ommercials always interrupt and spoil this film. Fortunately, modern television shows a lot of useful programmes about cooking and gardening, about animals, discoveries and others very useful things .

In the end, television is the most popular hobby of people. It caters for all ages and tastes. But, I think that we shouldn’t spend much of our time watching different rubbish . Why not to go out with friends, read books, talk with people and look at the world with your own eyes.
