England School uniform in England as the official dress code appeared under king Henry VIII. Military uniforms were taken as a basis. Initially, it was just a long cloak-coat exclusively dark blue. First, it was believed that it was the dark blue tone that would teach children humility. Second, the blue paint on that period was the most cheap and readily available. The Christ hospital has become the first educational institution in the history of England, which adopted a decision on the introduction of school uniforms.

Russia In 1834, a law was passed that made it mandatory for all civil servants and students to wear uniforms. Since then, high school students and students had to go to classes in a special form. Men's clothing was made according to military patterns. For the entire pre-revolutionary period, the change of styles happened a few times. The last reform was carried out by the tsarist government in 1913 .
