Good afternoon!
My name is ... I’ m a pupil of the 6B form, gymnasium/ grammar school № 144. I would like to present my project.
The theme of my project is “Manned rubbish collecting robot”
The problem of the project great amount of rubbish that has reached global scale, how to deal with it by means of engineering and scientific progress that is –robotics.
The object of the work is problem solving of the increasing amount of rubbish in our city- 1 ton of rubbish per capita annually- that’s the statistics.
The subject is manned rubbish collecting robot as a way to solve environmental problem
The Hypothesis of my project is our city will be a cleaner place to live in on condition the research of the rubbish problem is carried out and manned rubbish collecting robot is designed and constructed to solve the environmental problem.
The aim of the project is to study the urgency of the problem of rubbish and design and construct manned rubbish collecting robot
To gain it I must: 1. Collect the statistic data on the problem
2. Analyze the problem of rubbish utilizing;
3. Work out ways to solve the problem on the basis of the research;
4 Look at the possibility of application robotic systems in solving the problem of rubbish collecting;
5 Make a manned robot
It is not by chance I chose this topic for my project. I have been a student of Robotodrom school for 5 years . Here we learn programming, using different constructors, making robots for many purposes like sports: sumo, football, racing. We work with infrared sensors. We created Smart Home via sensors and programs. Our works were displayed in All Russia competitions 3 times, they were successful. All in all we got 6 gold medals. Our last project Manned Rubbish Collecting Robot was one of them.
It is not by chance we designed this model. First we studied the problem of hips of rubbish in our city, we questioned the people of Ordjonikidsevsky district on the problem and studied the composition of rubbish. As we see in the diagram, wastes can be various. All sorts of old paper make a quarter, one fifth-glass,15% -plastics and also ferrous and non ferrous metals.
The second diagram shows average indexes of Wastes generating in European countries tones per capita annually .Bulgaria is the leader- 37,5 tons per capita, Russia comes next with 18 tons.
To solve the problem of collecting rubbish our team designed and constructed the manned rubbish collecting robot.
But what does robot mean? It is a machine that can work by itself by doing many of the things humans do. Robotics is the science of designing and building robots.
Here are the stages of making the product:
1. thinking of a program , but the first program failed, then we tried Ev3 Basic and it worked, it took us 1 month;
2. next we started constructing robot using Mind strums Ev3,it took us 2 months;
3. testing was the last we corrected some technical errors;
4. we presented it in regional World Robot Olympiad, and All Russia WRO
I would like to present you the product of the project Manned rubbish collecting robot in operation.
In conclusion I’d like to say that the hypothesis is true. The manned rubbish collecting robot was designed and constructed and it really worked and helped to solve the environmental problem. Moreover my classmates became interested in robot making. It’s extremely important today- our country needs talented engineers, designers, scientists and we must develop practical skills.
