Relations between Russia and China have not always been easy. Even after the cultural and economic transformations of the recent decades, China differs radically from its neighbour in law, concepts of democracy and traditions.

The government policy on the growth of population let to migration into Russia to find any work. Some influential Russians suggest immigration might boost the population to as many as 40-50 million. Chinese people began to occupy the territory and provide their goods. So far immigration has not let to racist violence but tensions are growing and opinion polls suggest that a majority of Chinese  people would like to see it stop.

In other words, the Chinese have taken the market of various goods such as cars, TV-sets, computers and so on.

The Russian government suggested the solution to improve the situation and share the market with each other. They have contracted the low about trading of gasoline. Now it is a very profitable contract between the countries.
