Do you agree with the statement written by a famous Russian writer K. Paustovsky that the love to our Motherland begins with the love to its naturе? Don’t you think that the terms Motherland and nature cannot be separated?

Well, since early childhood we have been full of pleasant memories of the places connected with nature: rivers, where we used to swim with friends, forests, where we picked berries and mushrooms with our families, admiring the songs of the birds. As for me, they have been the most marvelous moments of my life. To my mind, all these things can be included in the definition of the word Motherland. So, we can’t love our Motherland without loving the nature of the country we live in.

 No wonder that no poet has left without attention the theme of his Motherland and his native nature. It is one of the most significant themes in the work of each poet, and especially in the work of Russian poets.  For example, all of us know the poem “Winter morning” by A.S. Pushkin. Here is an abstract from it.

… Under a bright blue vault of heaven  
Like a beautiful carpet, soft and even, 
The snow glitters in sunlight; 
Transparent woods are soly dark, 
The firs through hoarfrost nicely sparkle 
And under ice brooks' torrents slide…   

  We are proud of Russian winter as we are proud of our Motherland in whole.
         I believe that admiration for the beauty of nature can inspire the creation of great works of art, as well. These masterpieces glorify the beauty of simple Russian nature, masterfully depicting it in their canvases. |We can’t help admiring works of art of such artists as I.I.Levitan, I.I.Shishkin, V.D.Polenov. | Let us remember such a picture as “Golden autumn”, created by I.I. Levitan, a real poet of the Russian countryside. Levitan's feeling for nature, his great love for his native land, his ability to reveal and depict the poetry of the Russian land have won his paintings the love and gratitude of  all people.

        In conclusion, I would like to say that nowadays we have a lot of opportunities to travel almost everywhere. |And, of course, there are a lot of beautiful places around the world to attend.| But still it is always a great pleasure to return to your Motherland, to your native town, to enjoy the sight of birches, to breathe in the smell of the places so dearest to our hearts. Can you imagine and offer anything better?
